Job description
We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Network Engineer to support and scale a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing the network infrastructure while supporting enterprise identity and access management initiatives.
This role requires expertise with Cisco Catalyst switching, Meraki networks, Palo Alto firewalls, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as identity management systems with a focus on Okta. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, have excellent troubleshooting abilities, and enjoy working across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco Catalyst switches and Meraki wireless solutions.
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and ensure secure connectivity across all locations and cloud integrations.
Support and optimize network connectivity in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Partner with security and IT teams on identity and access management initiatives, with hands-on work configuring and managing Okta.
Troubleshoot network and security issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Security teams on ongoing projects and improvements.
Document network architecture, topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in a network engineering or infrastructure engineering role.
Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks solutions.
Experience with Google Cloud networking and architecture.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Okta or similar identity management platforms.
Understanding of Layer 2⁄3 networking, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco (CCNP), Palo Alto (PCNSE), or Okta certifications.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) or automation tools.
Background in hybrid or multi-cloud networking architectures.
