LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America, preferably working in hours that align to PT (Pacific Timezone) or ET (Eastern Timezone). Candidates located in Santiago, Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago, Chile will be fully remote employees.

THE ROLE:

In the area of Site Optimisation, you will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, performance, and optimisation of client websites. Working closely with our in-house teams and client teams to ensure their sites run smoothly, remain accessible, and work towards continuous improvement based on data-driven insights.

You will be responsible for executing SEO projects with clients in EMEA and across our global client-base. Supporting website builds, and ensuring SEO best practices in terms of technical SEO fundamentals and on-site SEO are embedded throughout to provide the best platform from which they can build their organic search presence.

This role is client-facing, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to advise both internal teams and external clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and contribute to SEO projects, ensuring best practices are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate on website build projects, ensuring SEO is ‘baked in’ from the start and optimised throughout the process.
  • Work independently and within teams, providing guidance and advice on SEO strategies to developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Present and discuss SEO strategies, insights, and results with clients in a confident and professional manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, including changes in search algorithms, best practices, AI developments, and emerging SEO technologies.
  • Leverage AI tools and suites to enhance SEO performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure technical SEO, content strategies, and on-page/off-page tactics align with best practices.
  • Support the Head of Optimisation on projects and to develop the practice both internally and with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and report on clients’ site performance, accessibility, and overall functionality.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Manage and drive the full cycle of improvements from analysis to implementation.
  • Ensure site health reports consistently reflect performance of the sites.
  • Regularly review and refine processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Report to and liaise with clients to make them aware of issues and opportunities to further improve the effectiveness of their websites.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience in agency and/or client-side roles.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful SEO strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, crawling and indexing, structured data, international SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Solid understanding of website technologies and development workflows, and how SEO integrates with UX, accessibility, performance, and broader digital strategies.
  • Experience with on-page SEO techniques and optimisation strategies.
  • Familiarity with commerce websites and large-scale site ecosystems.
  • Proficient in using SEO tools and platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog), web analytics (e.g., GA4, Looker), and page performance monitoring tools.
  • Ability to analyse SEO data, derive insights, and make clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Understanding of how AI is reshaping SEO, from search algorithm evolution to automation and tooling.
  • Up-to-date with SEO trends, best practices, and search engine algorithm updates.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable educating and aligning cross-functional teams around SEO best practices.
  • Consultancy experience or client advisory background preferred.
  • Organised, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; adaptable, collaborative, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility and site security best practices.
