Job Description

Our Tribe is looking for a People Support Partner who’s passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences and supporting people across every stage of the employee lifecycle.

So, what will you do?

  • You will proactively support all aspects of the Business Partner’s objectives as part of the Talent Operations objectives by creating and enabling an environment to drive performance and employee engagement across the divisions in the iK Tribe.
  • You will do this by actively providing support to the People Business Partner on day to day administrative tasks and support activities to define and implement relevant and appropriate plans to improve individual, team and business effectiveness, and to enhance the overall performance of the business through its people.

In addition to the above, you will:

  • Support with the maintenance of employee files and employee data on all HR systems and or organograms.
  • Ensure all new and existing employee documentation is handover complete to Payroll (as part of the onboarding and offboarding process).
  • Prepare various people movement letters for the business.
  • Arrange meetings, coordinate functions or events.
  • Capturing or loading any new employees, transfers or any data changes on the HR system.
  • Maintaining and issuing of all long service gifts and completing the monthly communications.
  • Communicating all new hires to Learning & Development, Facilities and other relevant stakeholders on a monthly basis to support the induction process.
  • Sending out exit interviews.
  • Support the People Business Partner and assist with all temporary disability claims (cases), by pulling together all the required documentation.
  • Support employees with any administrative queries.
  • Assist with group risk and funeral claims.
  • Liaising with service providers and processing invoices on Business Central for the department.
  • Maintaining and updating reports weekly.
  • Provide all monthly reports with the People Business Partner.
  • Support with Ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Ensure all employee records are up to date and documents are stored and recorded correctly.
  • Support the IOD process
  • Own data within the respective business unit(s).
  • Coordinate all planned Organisational Development/ Effectiveness initiatives such as wellness days as per the wellness calendar for the year, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the content calendar and project plans.
  • Marketing briefing process for all initiatives within the department.
  • Support the implementation of people related projects, initiatives and or interventions when needed, ensuring that are executed accordingly.
  • Assist with employee surveys to gather feedback on various aspects of the workplace when required.
  • Comply with Business policies, procedures and prevailing legislation that govern HR practices and principles.
  • Review HR policies and process documents to ensure that they remain relevant and in line with business needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all levels and all times.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide support in managing employee relations issues, providing guidance to line managers and employees as well as helping to resolve conflicts.
  • Support in conducting investigations into employee complaints or concerns.
  • Assist with preparation and attendance of Disciplinary enquiries.
  • Support line managers by drafting warnings, performance documents, drawing up charges, sitting in on disciplinary or conflict resolution processes and on the outcomes of disciplinary enquiries.
  • Monitor all trends relating to employees (late-coming, absence, prior discipline etc.) and advise management on a course of action in line with Business policy.
  • Maintaining employee records on the HRIS for all disciplinary and performance matters.
  • Work as a support to the People Business Partner, give input, direction and change plans with the goal to achieve and exceed business targets.
  • Support on any people related plans, managing the impact and change implications.
  • Comply insights and data analysis on people related measures to guide and develop key people focus areas for the business.
  • Use data insights and analytic tools to provide HR input for the business planning process.
  • Support and advise on the implementation of all HR tools.

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma/BTech in HR, Degree in HR Management or Degree in Industrial/ Organisational Psychology).

Deal Breakers:

3+ years’ experience with the following:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in HR Administration.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Employee Relations or CCMA knowledge.
  • In depth experience in HR analytics and reporting.
  • At least a basic understanding of Project Management.
