As a Global People Partner, you will be a key figure in nurturing our company culture and ensuring our people strategies align with our business goals. You will work closely with executive leadership, managers and employees across all levels in your client groups to provide strategic HR guidance, support talent management, and enhance employee engagement. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued, included, and equipped to excel. Supporting the GTM and G&A teams your key responsibilities include:.

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic consultant to senior leadership on all things related to HR, including organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership development. In partnership with the People Team and other internal functions, ensure alignment and collaboration for your assigned client groups.

  • Talent Management: Participate in performance management, and employee development programs. Implement strategies to retain, and develop top talent and drive the development of a high performing organization. Keep senior leadership abreast of areas within their organizations which may require attention and action on a proactive basis.

  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary contact for employee relations issues in your client groups. Foster a positive work environment by resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, and ensuring fair treatment.

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives to cultivate an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued and reflected at all levels of the company. Prepare and share metrics with your Client group executives to identify areas of opportunity for growth in their teams.

  • Team Alignment & Leadership: Ensure the People Team and Talent Acquisition team members partnering with your client groups are aligned and informed to provide best in class service to your assigned client groups. Provide guidance, growth and feedback to your assigned People Partner and mentor them in their career growth. Manage assignment to ensure successful completion within your team.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to inform decision-making, track progress against HR objectives, and identify areas for improvement across the business. Share team metrics with the leaders to develop action plans for improvement and growth.

  • Program Design & Management: Create program and communications plans as needed for your client groups for organization changes, business, shifts, compensation changes and other important business issues. Ensure the plans including timing, key related functions and messaging is all aligned and executed against the plan with client group leadership.

  • Education & Corporate Program Implementation: Lead the roll out of corporate programs and initiatives within your client group ensuring proper education and support to execute on time and with quality.

  • Change Management: Support the organization through changes by providing guidance on change management strategies, communication plans, and training programs.

  • International Leadership: Provide guidance and counsel to team mates and leaders on cultural norms and legal requirements in international regions. Ensure communications are available to employees in all parts of the globe and have access to resources for growth and support. Partner with internal and external resources to ensure compliance and a respectful environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years HR related work experience, preferably with a technology company, with strong experience partnering with leadership teams to align HR goals with organizational goals. Experience supporting customer facing organizations such as Sales, Customer Support, Marketing as well as G&A.

  • Experience working with global organizations in the Americas, Europe and APAC.

  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive level leadership on business issues that impact the organization.

  • Experience mentoring and leading junior to mid-level team members in delivering results and career growth.

  • Experience working for a company as a remote employee.

  • Demonstrated program management and planning skills for group wide initiatives and changes.

  • Exceptional full cycle HR knowledge and experience. Proven Ability to design and implement people practices that drive engagement and performance across the organization.

  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated success in driving HR initiatives that contribute to business goals.

  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills in a fast-growing environment, while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.

  • Highly developed in taking initiative and resourcefulness.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets in Excel and Google spreadsheets preferred. Strong understanding of using HR metrics to drive organizational performance.

  • Experience collaborating with peers to ensure consistent approach and communication on employment matters and programs

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and other standard HR tools

In the first month, you will be expected to

  • Onboard and integrate into Docker.

  • Learn Docker’s culture and methodologies.

  • Learn the details of your client organization

  • Build strong partnership with your Client Executives.

In the first three months, you will be expected to

  • Provide coaching and advice on client group initiatives and employee matters.

  • Built strong partnerships with your People team members and your client group to enable collaboration

  • Actively engage and be sought after by leadership in your client groups at all levels, working collaboratively on strategic initiatives.

In the first year, you will be expected to

  • Be seen as a trusted advisor and strategic partner with Docker’s leadership team and employee population in your client groups and beyond, problem-solving issues that arise, and introducing new innovative programs and processes to employees.
