Job Description

As a Product Designer at Ulula, you will play an active role in defining and solving such a technical and complex theme as sustainability, driving innovation within our multi-product platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create easy-to-navigate and visually appealing solutions that drive impact and lead business growth.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager - Product Management.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end design process: Taking ownership of the product design lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring high-quality designs that align with business goals and user needs; balancing usability with aesthetic appeal and ensuring design consistency throughout the product and portfolio;
  • UX/UI design: Apply user-centered design principles to create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows tailored to both mobile and web platforms to illustrate design concepts and test usability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with product managers, developers, and other designers to gather feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs to meet business and user needs on both mobile and web.
  • Industry trends and best practices: Continuously researching and exploring emerging design trends, tools, and techniques. Share knowledge and insights with the team to drive innovation and elevate the overall design capabilities;
  • Accessibility and inclusivity: Championing accessibility and inclusivity in design, considering diverse user needs and ensuring compliance with relevant accessibility standards and guidelines;
  • Design system: Contributing to developing and maintaining a design system that ensures consistency and efficiency in design processes. Advocate for design best practices and guidelines across the organization;
  • Research and analysis: Conducting user research activities, including user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to gain deep insights into user behaviour, preferences, and pain points;
  • Impact: Measuring, monitoring and translating product performance results into actionable design improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing across multiple platforms (e.g., Android, iOS, and Web).
  • Solid visual awareness with an understanding of fundamental design principles and tools, such as Figma, Miro, etc.
  • Ability to create clean, modern, and intuitive UI designs that enhance user experience.
  • An eye for detail, ensuring every pixel serves a purpose.
  • Ability to balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring designs are both visually stunning and highly usable.
  • Good understanding of design systems and component libraries to maintain consistency across platforms.
  • Experience with UX research methods, user testing, and data-driven design decisions.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers;
  • Experience collaborating with frontend developers and some understanding of how design translates into code.
  • Have a “validate first and perfect later” mentality, value moving quickly and iteratively as a style of working, and is committed to continuous development and learning;
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity, taking ownership of identifying problems and creating solutions;
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to approach design challenges analytically.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in facilitating virtual workshops
  • Prior experience working on B2B SaaS products
  • Sound judgment on what challenges to invest in and what challenges to deprioritize;
  • Experience working in an engineering sprint-based environment
