About EcoVadis
We started in 2007 to provide businesses with sustainability ratings and intelligence software. We help companies integrate sustainability into their global business decisions. Our platform gives organizations the insights they need to manage risks in their supply chains, meet net-zero and other sustainability goals, and create positive impact.
Our services include universal sustainability ratings, tools for risk and carbon management, and an e-learning platform. These tools help businesses comply with ESG regulations, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve sustainability across their operations and supply chains. For example, our platform helps with procurement decisions through supplier assessments, supports Scope 3 decarbonization with our Carbon Data Network, and assists with compliance by monitoring supply chain risks. We also offer the Ulula worker voice solution.
Our methodology evaluates 21 indicators across four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. It’s based on international sustainability standards like the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, and is adjusted for each industry sector, country, and company size.
We work with over 130,000 businesses in 220 industries across 180 countries. Over 150,000 companies have been rated by us, and we’ve screened more than 3 million. Some of our clients include Johnson & Johnson, L’Orรฉal, Unilever, LVMH, Bridgestone, BASF, and JPMorgan.
Mission & Values
Our purpose is to help all companies move towards a more sustainable world. We envision a global marketplace where sustainability intelligence guides every business decision, benefiting economies, people, and the planet. Our mission is to provide reliable, widely recognized sustainability ratings and insights, helping companies reduce risk, make improvements, and increase their positive impact on the planet and society.
Our core values guide everything we do:
- Make Sustainability Real: We help global businesses become more sustainable, ethical, and responsible, creating positive and scalable change.
- Every Customer Matters: We focus on meeting customer expectations and building strong partnerships.
- Belong: We foster an inclusive culture where everyone feels they can be themselves, differences are valued, and we learn from each other.
- Integrity at Our Core: We operate with professionalism and transparency, guided by accountability, honesty, and trust.
- Dare To: We constantly innovate, propose new ideas, and implement them to achieve the best results.
- Be Kind: We support and empower each other, show appreciation, celebrate successes, and prioritize team spirit and work-life harmony.
Team & Culture
We are an international company with over 1900 professionals from 80 nationalities. We are driven by a purpose: to help all companies move towards a sustainable world. Our culture is inclusive; we value individual differences and encourage mutual learning. We support and empower our employees, focusing on team spirit and work-life harmony.
Our work environment is fast-paced and autonomous. We value proactive leadership and cross-functional collaboration. For roles like engineering, we encourage a culture of craftsmanship and ownership. We generally offer a flexible hybrid work model, preferring to hire near our office locations, but we also provide remote work options from specific countries like Poland. We support employee well-being and professional development.
Our recruitment process usually has four steps: first, an initial meeting with our recruitment team, then meeting potential teammates. Next, candidates complete role-specific tasks and discuss them with the team leader. Finally, we conduct reference checks before making a job offer. We aim for our hiring process to be efficient, flexible, and aligned with our purpose.
Benefits & Perks
We offer our employees a range of benefits and perks. These include a flexible hybrid working model, opportunities for learning and development, and wellness programs. Our wellness programs provide an allowance for mental and physical well-being, along with access to professional mental health support. We also support sustainability events and community involvement, offering an additional paid day for volunteering.
Employees receive a budget or allowances to set up a home office, plus support with essential office and IT equipment. Other benefits include a peer recognition program, employee-led resource groups, a referral bonus, and an annual performance bonus. We also have a remote work from abroad policy and provide allowances for internet and electricity bills. Health care and life insurance are available, often after a certain period of employment, with options for fully covered or co-financed plans. Additional perks might include a Multisport card/Multikafeteria, lunch cards/Meals and Transportation Vouchers, and dental benefits.
