Job description
Overview of the Role:
We’re on a mission to modernize insurance – making it simpler, more accessible, and customer-first. The insurance industry is a $1T market that’s remained largely untouched by the digital revolution, and PolicyMe is here to change that. As a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions, we’re looking for a product leader to help us build the future of insurance in Canada – and beyond.
We’re hiring a Product Designer, Webflow with strong visual and UX instincts, and hands-on Webflow experience, to take full ownership of our marketing website. In this role, you’ll design in Figma, build in Webflow, and continuously optimize our site to support growth, brand, and conversion goals. You’ll collaborate closely with the Growth, SEO, and Performance Marketing teams to create high-quality landing pages, scalable templates, and engaging interactive components.
This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll shape the first impression for every PolicyMe visitor, ensuring our site is clear, trustworthy, and user-friendly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the Marketing Website: Take full responsibility for the design, build, and ongoing evolution of PolicyMe’s marketing site, ensuring it delivers a clear, trustworthy, and conversion-friendly experience.
- Design in Figma: Translate briefs and ideas into clean, component-driven designs, including landing pages, editorial templates, partner pages, and interactive tools.
- Build in Webflow: Develop pages using our existing CMS structure and reusable components, while creating new templates or modules when needed to support growth and content initiatives.
- Collaborate Across Growth: Work closely with the Growth, SEO, and Performance Marketing teams to deliver projects that align with brand, traffic, and lead generation goals.
- Maintain & QA: Oversee releases, troubleshoot visual or functional issues, and ensure every page is responsive, accessible, and polished across devices.
- Enhance the Design System: Identify opportunities to extend or refine reusable patterns, improving build velocity and visual cohesion.
- Proactive UX & Research: Monitor site performance, run lightweight UX research or A/B testing on underperforming pages, and recommend design or UX improvements.
- Work with External Partners: Collaborate with engineering, external Webflow developers, or agencies when net-new custom components or complex builds are required.
- Support SEO & Content Goals: Implement layouts and components that enhance readability, engagement, and technical SEO performance.
- Experiment & Innovate: Bring forward new ideas for interactive elements, dynamic content, and AI-enabled features that improve the overall site experience.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role, ideally with web or content-heavy products.
- Proven Webflow experience — building, launching, and maintaining marketing sites (not just CMS content entry).
- Strong design skills in Figma, with a portfolio that showcases clean, user-centric, and conversion-aware work.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and component-based systems.
- Comfort making light HTML/CSS updates for styling and layout tweaks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, content, and product teams.
- Proactive problem-solver who can identify opportunities, propose solutions, and take projects from concept to completion.
Nice to haves:
- Startup or high-growth company experience, ideally in a marketing or growth team environment.
- Experience collaborating closely with SEO and content teams to deliver high-performing pages.
- Exposure to paid media landing page design, conversion rate optimization, and A/B testing.
- Basic technical SEO knowledge.
Why join us:
- Generous PTO - 20 vacation days
- Access to stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan
- A remote-first team with company paid, in-person socials and the option to work from our Toronto-based office
- Resources to help your professional development, including an L&D budget, performance reviews twice a year and ongoing feedback to ensure you reach your highest potential
- Work with an empathetic, high-performing team in a flexible, results-oriented environment
