We’re seeking a Prompt Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in prototyping AI-driven features, developing web applications, and communicating our team’s innovations internally and externally.
Role Overview
As a Prompt Engineer & Web Developer, you will work with the Data Science (DS) team to experiment, prototype, and implement AI-powered web applications. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing prompts for AI models, rapidly building web-based prototypes, and effectively communicating our team’s work to various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Prompt Engineering – Design, test, and refine prompts for large language models (LLMs) to improve student learning and teacher workflows.
- Web Prototyping & Development – Build and iterate on AI-powered web applications using JavaScript (React, Vue, or similar frameworks).
- AI Integration – Use APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or other AI providers to integrate AI-driven functionality into ThinkCERCA’s tools.
- Team Communication – Serve as a liaison between the DS team and other departments, presenting work, collecting requirements, and ensuring stakeholder needs are met.
- Web Presence & Documentation – Develop and maintain a web presence for the Data Science team, create technical documentation for AI prototypes, and assist with product updates and release notes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with AI/ML models, APIs, and tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Hugging Face.
- Experience in prompt engineering, with an understanding of LLMs and AI model behavior.
- Strong JavaScript skills with experience in front-end web development (React, Vue, or similar frameworks).
- Experience with backend development (Python or similar) to support AI integrations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to quickly prototype and iterate based on feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Background in education technology (EdTech) or familiarity with K-12 instructional environments.
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices for AI-powered applications.
