Pricing Manager Position Overview:

Certus is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pricing Manager to lead our B2B pricing strategy across multiple brands and business lines. This role is critical for optimizing our pricing models, developing innovative product bundles, and enforcing effective discounting policies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Pricing Manager will be responsible for building and refining pricing strategies, tools, and policies. The role will leverage data-driven market insights to enhance Certus’s profitability and serve as an internal expert on pricing decisions.

The Pricing Manager is responsible for setting, maintaining, and monitoring prices for our company’s products and services. This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills, and business acumen. The ideal candidate analyzes market trends and customer feedback to ensure that the company’s pricing strategies are competitive and attractive to target customers.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Develop and implement strategic pricing frameworks across multiple product lines and brands.

•       Lead comprehensive market and competitive pricing analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and pricing strategies.

•       Design and optimize pricing models, including bundled offers, subscriptions, and segmented price lists.

•       Establish and enforce discounting policies and approval processes to reduce margin leakage.

•       Act as the primary pricing consultant and advisor for high-value enterprise deals, providing guidance and oversight.

•       Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with business goals.

•       Monitor and report on pricing effectiveness, margin performance, and revenue impact to senior leadership.

•       Support the future development and implementation of a CPQ system to streamline pricing processes.

Requirements

Pricing Manager Requirements and Qualifications

Required:

•       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.

•       6-10 years of B2B pricing, revenue management, or strategic finance experience, preferably in SaaS or technology-enabled services.

•       Proven track record of developing successful pricing strategies, managing discounting policies, and driving profitability improvements.

•       Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI tools.

•       Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills within remote, cross-functional environments.

•       Experience with pricing subscription-based products.

Preferred:

•       MBA or advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

•       Previous experience implementing pricing systems, especially CPQ tools.

•       Experience with multi-brand portfolios.

Success Criteria:

•       Significant reduction in unnecessary discounting and margin leakage.

•       Consistent improvement in profitability through strategic pricing initiatives.

•       Establishment and maintenance of clear, scalable pricing and discounting processes.

•       Effective collaboration with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders.

This position will be an individual contributor and will have a base pay between $120,000 - $130,000 and will be eligible for an annual bonus of up to 10%.
