Summary of the Role

The Salesforce Administrator/Developer at Stack Overflow is a hybrid role that requires a strong understanding of both Salesforce administration and development, with a primary focus on maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform, and a secondary focus on developing custom solutions to meet business requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage configurations, and implement technical customizations to ensure our Salesforce environment meets the evolving needs of our organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Report to the Salesforce Senior Manager and support the organization in long term management of Salesforce, including driving business requirement discussions, troubleshooting errors, creating sophisticated automation, and building custom functionality
  • Support the Zuora CPQ and Salesforce integration and all customizations related to quoting and product fulfillment
  • Develop flows, Apex (classes, triggers and tests), Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce pages/Lightning pages to extend Salesforce to support business requirements
  • Implement and modify Salesforce integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, and web services
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, unit and system testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of Salesforce applications
  • Support of post-deployment activities, including knowledge transfer, process/technical documentation, and application bug fixes
  • Stay updated on the latest Salesforce technologies, tools, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team
  • Identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements, and customizations following coding best practices to ensure optimal system performance and data quality
  • Set up and monitor processes that maintain accurate data at a high quality and integrity level

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Salesforce Admin and/or Developer for a SaaS organization
  • Salesforce Certifications: Administrator and Platform Developer I
  • Bonus Salesforce Certifications: Advanced Administrator and/or Platform Developer II
  • Experience working with bi-directional integrated applications which include Zuora, Marketo, LeanData, PowerBI, Ironclad, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Clari. Experience with Zuora is required
  • Exceptional understanding of the Salesforce platform and declarative configurations, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, flows, validation rules, approval processes, custom views, and reports/dashboards
  • Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Experience with metadata-driven deployment tools (Salesforce DX, Change Sets, ANT)
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub) and an understanding of CI/CD processes and integration concepts
  • Experience with APIs and web services (REST/SOAP) for system integrations
  • Release Management Tools: Experience with tools for managing deployments and releases, such as Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, or similar
