VetsEZ is seeking a Schedule Manager to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project scheduling and performance tracking, with the ability to communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules using industry-standard tools to track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Maintain tools and dashboards to monitor project performance across cost, schedule, and scope.
- Analyze data to identify risks, delays, or deviations and propose corrective actions.
- Generate and deliver routine and ad hoc performance reports to internal teams and government stakeholders.
- Present analytical findings clearly through narrative summaries and data visualizations (charts, timelines, etc.).
- Support program and project teams with forecasting, planning, and tracking key metrics to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technical leads to gather inputs and ensure scheduling alignment across workstreams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, performance analysis, or project controls in a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proficient in project scheduling and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Experience preparing narrative and graphic reports, including dashboards and executive summaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with federal project reporting standards and methodologies.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working on VA programs or other federal healthcare IT projects.
Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, or other project management methodologies.
Ability to obtain government clearance.
