Join Our Team as a Security Engineer!

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our Internal Security team. In this role, you will focus on strengthening the security of our internal systems, devices, and processes — working closely with teams across the company to ensure a secure and resilient internal environment.

As a mid-level Security Engineer, you will play a key part in shaping the internal security landscape at OLX. You will handle internal security incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, and GRC, and help define and improve internal policies, configurations, and procedures.

If you’re passionate about internal corporate security, mentoring others, and building security processes from the ground up — we’d love to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

  • Investigate, manage, and report internal security incidents, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
  • Participate in and help coordinate tabletop exercises, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Operate and improve internal security tooling, including SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and SOAR integrations where applicable.
  • Contribute to the creation, review, and enforcement of mobile device management (MDM) policies and related internal controls.
  • Collaborate with teams across OLX — including Risk, Compliance, GRC, Legal, and Engineering — to align on internal security policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentor employees on security best practices, acting as a go-to person for internal security questions.
  • Support system configuration and hardening of internal services such as Okta, Google Workspace, JAMF, and others.
  • Participate in a lightweight on-call rotation for internal incident response (approximately every 1–2 weeks).

Who we are looking for:

  • An engineer with 2–5 years of experience in internal or corporate security, ideally with hands-on experience in incident response, process improvement, and policy management.
  • A professional who is comfortable with scripting — Python is a plus — to support automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • A person familiar with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elasticsearch, QRadar), EDR solutions, and optionally SOAR platforms.
  • An engineer with experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems (e.g., JAMF, Intune) and the ability to define or refine related security policies.
  • A professional comfortable working with tools like Okta and Google Workspace, and ideally familiar with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Terraform) — although this is not mandatory.
  • A strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional, distributed teams and can collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders.

Our Benefits:

  • Monthly salary and an annual bonus (15%).
  • 100% remote work and the flexibility to work from our offices in Warsaw or Poznań.
  • Access to learning platforms like Udemy, MyAcademy, and AWS-specific security training.
  • 300 PLN/month benefit points on the MyBenefit platform, including private medical care and much more.
  • A chance to impact all OLX websites in Europe, working with a global and diverse security team.
  • An inclusive and growth-oriented environment that supports both individual contributors and future leaders.

Our Hiring Process:

  • Recruiter Interview
  • Engineering Manager Interview
  • Technical Interview
