The Team
The Hitachi Digital Americas Security & Safety Manager is responsible for executing HD strategic Shared Services objectives as identified and defined by the Global Head of Security & Safety. Core competencies for the role include development and implementation of operational plans; delivering program services that effectively mitigate the physical risks and threats normally associated with a global company within Americas region.
We are looking for an innovative leader who embraces modern technologies, knows the regional & corporate security landscape and values service and experience over enforcement and rigidity to enhance Hitachi Digital LLC’s overall workplace experience.
Job success requires building and maintaining strong effective partnerships with peers across all aspects of our company and business.
The Role
- Establish and accomplish security & safety objectives that support Hitachi Digital LLC’s Shared Services business initiatives in the Americas.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships with key regional stakeholders across all business functions, especially with Legal, HR, Risk Management, Internal Audit and Cyber Security Teams
- Oversee all Americas security personnel and operations, including contract security professionals, key partner staff contributors and regional security vendors providing varying services to HD.
- Travel to critical Hitachi Digital workplaces to partner with fellow regional Security & Safety Managers and regional stakeholder executives to ensure the Security & Safety management program is effectively supporting their objectives.
- Serve in an active capacity as the Senior Security Leader within Americas region in the event of a regional global emergency or disaster in support of the Hitachi Digital LLC’s Business Continuity Program
- Ensure ongoing Security Risk Assessments for all Americas Hitachi Digital LLC properties and operations according to requirements - identifying gaps and risks, and creating action/mitigation plans and policies as required.
- Coordinate/provide physical security management support at major Hitachi Digital LLC and partner company events.
- Support Hitachi Digital’s low touch Executive Protection Program
- Manage and coordinate delivery of Emergency Response Training, safety training and other programs through vendors and other personnel in the field.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role directing a regional or mid-to-large local corporate physical security program and/or teams across multiple locations.
- ASIS – APP, PSP or CPP certification preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in regional (Americas) corporate security.
- Previous experience with Physical Security Operations and Administration, Physical Internal/External Threat Management, Travel Security, Global Executive Protection, Event Security, Security Incident Management & Reporting, Investigation, Physical Security Management Systems, Workplace Emergency Response Teams, and Related Workplace Technology Service/Support
- An ability to effectively inspire, influence and lead across countries, cultures, and business priorities.
- Experience and comfort collaborating with top company leadership and leadership support staff.
- Experience in a role with responsibility for managing internal and external human threats.
- Ability to evaluate complex issues, influence leaders and create workable solutions.
- Experience managing corporate/departmental budget.
- Experience working in the tech or software industry a plus.
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to travel 25% of time - domestic and international travel.
