RYZ Labs is looking for a Sr. Analytics Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, a personal health brand that is building the future of daily essentials.
We are seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to build and maintain our data infrastructure, focusing on dbt modeling, Snowflake optimization, and self-service analytics capabilities. This role will be embedded within our business teams while maintaining technical excellence in data engineering and analytics engineering practices. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical data infrastructure and business analytics needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of analytics engineering experience with focus on business intelligence and data modeling.
- dbt Expertise: Advanced proficiency with dbt (data build tool) including macros, packages, testing, and deployment.
- Snowflake Mastery: Deep experience with Snowflake including performance optimization, cost management, and advanced features.
- Expert SQL Skills: Advanced SQL capabilities with complex query optimization and performance tuning.
- Visualization Tools: Strong proficiency with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms (Omni experience a plus).
- Data Governance: Experience with data quality frameworks, testing, monitoring, and documentation standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Git workflows, CI/CD processes, and analytics engineering best practices.
- Business Intelligence: Experience building enterprise-grade BI solutions and data warehouses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure data services and cloud-native data tools.
- Programming Languages: Python or R for data analysis, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Data Pipeline Tools: Experience with Airflow, Fivetran, Stitch, or similar data orchestration tools.
- Analytics Background: Understanding of marketing, product, and customer analytics use cases.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Remote Collaboration: Experience working effectively with distributed teams across time zones.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with data observability and monitoring platforms (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, etc.).
- Performance Optimization: Advanced knowledge of warehouse optimization and cost management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling: Design, build, and maintain dbt models for business intelligence and analytics use cases.
- Infrastructure Management: Optimize Snowflake warehouse performance, cost management, and data architecture.
- Self-Service Analytics: Build and maintain Omni dashboards, reports, and self-service capabilities for business teams.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance processes across all data assets.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Establish best practices for analytics engineering, code reviews, and documentation standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams on data pipeline improvements and integration of new data sources.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize query performance, data model efficiency, and warehouse costs.
