At House Rx, we’re passionate about making specialty medications more accessible and affordable for patients dealing with chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune disorders. We do this by empowering clinics with advanced technology and dedicated support from pharmacists and care coordinators, enabling them to directly dispense medications to their patients through medically integrated dispensing.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and scaling our data infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage team, where you’ll have a significant impact on shaping the future direction of our data platform, from initial ingestion to business intelligence.
You’ll collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and clinical operations teams to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights, driving meaningful impact for our patients and clinics. This is a hands-on senior technical role, requiring you to contribute directly to platform development, influence architectural decisions, and take ownership of critical projects.
What Youβll Do
You’ll drive technical excellence, contributing to a robust data platform and solidifying our engineering practices. You’ll skillfully balance long-term vision with delivering immediate value, collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams to achieve shared goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Professional: You bring 5+ years of combined experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering.
- Modern Data Stack Expertise: You have hands-on experience with contemporary data engineering tools such as Airflow, DBT, SQLMesh, Snowflake, MotherDuck, and similar technologies.
- Coding Proficiency: You are skilled in at least one programming language, with a preference for TypeScript or Python.
- Data Fluency: You possess a strong understanding of core data concepts including ELT, data lakes, data warehouses, backfill strategies, and data quality best practices.
- Data Modeling Acumen: You have practical experience with data modeling.
- Strategic Thinker: You’re skilled at making well-reasoned engineering tradeoffs, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.
- Cloud Experience: You have some experience working within a cloud environment (e.g., AWS or Google Cloud).
- Infrastructure as Code: You have exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Terraform.

Expected Full-Time Base Salary:Β $160,000-$185,000
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements equity, paid time off and benefits.
