The Job:
The Sr. DevOps engineer will be instrumental in pushing Convoso forward to a more cloud based, security aware posture. The position will help with re-imaging of new pipelines for the delivery of ephemeral and immutable infrastructure both based in the Data center as well as in the cloud.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leverage your Terraform expertise to design, implement, and manage scalable, maintainable, and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable deployments. Collaborate with development teams to streamline the integration of new features into production.
- Manage AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure, focusing on performance, security, and cost optimization. Apply best practices for scalability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to monitor application and infrastructure performance. Set up automated alerts and dashboards to quickly resolve issues.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure our infrastructure adheres to best security practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, SOC, FedRAMP).
- Work with development, security, and operations teams, documenting architectures, processes, and automation tools for efficiency and future scalability.
- Constantly monitor and improve infrastructure performance. Troubleshoot issues in testing and production environments, ensuring smooth launches.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role focusing on automation and infrastructure.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with a focus on architecture, security, and scalability.
- Deep understanding of Terraform for IaC, including advanced usage and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI) and automating deployment processes.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch).
Bonus Points for:
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
- Experience with on-prem infrastructure, VMWare, or hybrid setups
- A strong DevOps philosophy: you see Ops as part of engineering, not just support

Compensation: The base salary range is: $155,000 - 170,000.
The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company’s compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso’s compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
