Senior DevOps Engineer

The team
The candidate for this position will be working a DevOps team responsible for designing and implementing virtualization and highly automated CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps setting. The candidate will need to demonstrate capability based on experience in requirement analysis, test planning, test design, risk analysis, and defect management in a technical environment.
The role
The candidate(s) is responsible for ensuring quality of the coverage and results, driving automated solutions, process improvements, and mentoring others. The candidate needs to be able to adapt to a fast paced Agile (Scrum) development approach with short timelines to be successful.
What you’ll bring
-Expert-level experience in automating CI/CD Pipeline with scripts plus release management using following tools.
-Experience with build scripts using tooling such as Maven, Gradle.
-Experience with DevOps pipeline tools – Jenkins, Argo, Gitlab. Skilled at use of Jenkin API and plug-ins.
-Experience with Image Registry for Operating System and Container Images – Artifactory, jFrog.
-Experience with Source Control Management tools – Gitlab and BitBucket.
-Experience with tools for configuration management – Ansible, Bash.
-Experience with metric monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
-Experience of supporting software development CI/CD pipeline with multi-stage automated testing in a modern, containerized Kubernetes environment.
- Strong experience with Python, Bash, and Automation tools such as Ansible and Helm.
- Initiative to meet deadlines and deliver high quality results without supervision.
- 3+ years of experience as a Linux systems administrator, preferably with CentOS and Ubuntu.
- Broad experience in DevOps best practices with on-prem and cloud.
- Passionate operational mindset with hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting systems.
- Familiar with C++, Java, Golang based software build and release.
- Familiar with VMware environment.
-5+ years of solid infrastructure administration experience, designing and implementing virtualization and highly automated CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps setting.
-Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (shell, Python).
-Experience working in an agile or other iterative software development methodology.
