Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Finance analyst to join our Cost and Inventory team.  This role reports to the Cost of Sales Director and will support our Global Operations team to drive projects and recommendations that optimize cost, inventory, and the supply chain.  In addition, this role will drive multiple critical Cost and Inventory ERP projects and SAP enhancements required to keep up with changes in the business.  The analyst will be the finance representative in our tariff workgroup and will own forecasting and tracking tariff spends as well as running scenario analysis for various supply chain options to minimize tariff risk.  The analyst will also support the manufacturing and operations teams in NPV, ROI, should-cost, and other analysis to support decision making.  This is a high-visibility role that partners with leaders across our Manufacturing, Operations, IT, and Finance teams.  He or she will report out and make recommendations regularly to the co-CFOs, CFO staff, and other VPs.  The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, high-performing team where we value partnership, creative problem solving, and adaptability.  Preferred locations are Guadalajara, MX and Sacramento, CA.  This role has the option of being fully remote.

Characteristics required to be successful in this role:

  • Strong finance and accounting acumen; prior financial experience with cost & inventory experience is strongly preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience including building complex models with multiple input files, using complex formulas and lookups, creating scenarios and sensitivity tables, and ability to trace and resolve issues.  Experience with automation and visualization tools a plus.

  • SAP expertise, specifically around cost & inventory

  • Strong project management skills

  • Action-oriented – someone who pursues work with enthusiasm, drive, and a possibility mindset.  Someone who says “yes” to a challenge without necessarily knowing how to solve it.  He or she should be able to work autonomously in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

  • Ability to partner across organizations and at multiple levels in the organization; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and being the sole Finance rep in meetings.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data and analysis into insights and recommendations

  • Team player – someone who values unity, helping each other out, and lifting each other up.  Willing to assist with issues outside of core job scope.  Works effectively across geographically and culturally diverse teams.
