Summary
The job is for an experienced Azure FinOps practitioner who will work on Autonomous Discount Management for Azure. The role involves cloud cost optimization analysis, developing new optimization services, and working closely with the Product team. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in a FinOps or Engineering role with Azure.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a FinOps or Engineering role with a cloud service provider, consultancy, or company using Azure at scale
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management and Billing Tools, 3rd party cloud management platforms, or home-grown applications
- Strong computation, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to make API calls and run queries to collect and manipulate data. Experience with PowerBI, Azure Synapse, and Command Line is a huge plus

Responsibilities
- Perform Cloud Cost Optimization analysis and communicate the results (verbal and written)
- Subject Matter Expert on Reservations, Azure Spot VMs, and Savings Plans for Compute
- Work with Sales and Customer Operations to answer questions surrounding the ProsperOps platform and cloud rate optimization methods
- Work with the Product team to develop new optimization services to enhance customer discounts
- Create and deliver demos in support of sales activities
- Scope and assist with Savings Analysis configurations
- Assist with building features and automation in support of the Savings Analysis and other reports and tools
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as an Analyst or Presales Engineer is highly preferred
