The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We’re cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. The End User Platform team is at the forefront of this mission, owning the SDKs that capture critical identity verification data while providing a frictionless user experience.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer in our Product Platform team, you will architect the future of web-based identity verification. Building backend-driven UIs, deploying ML models on the client, and creating reusable platform components. We need problem solvers who can balance performance, security, and user experience while handling millions of verifications across diverse browsers and devices.

You’ll Help Us Protect Honest People Online By

• Build Platform-Scale Components: Design reusable, configurable UI components and SDK modules that enable backend-driven flow orchestration and reduce manual configuration overhead.
• Deploy Intelligence at the Edge: Implement and optimize ML detection models directly in the browser for real-time feedback on document quality, liveness detection, and fraud signals, reducing latency and backend costs.
• Master Media Capture: Leverage WebRTC, MediaStream APIs, and WebSockets to create seamless, high-quality media capture experiences across diverse browser environments and device capabilities.
• Drive Analytical Excellence: Apply data-driven thinking to optimize conversion rates, reduce capture failures, and improve first-time-right rates through telemetry and performance monitoring.
• Own End-to-End Delivery: Take responsibility for features from concept to production, collaborating with other teams and verticals to ensure system coherence.
• Platformize for Scale: Transform custom solutions into configurable, self-service capabilities that product teams can leverage without engineering intervention.

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• Deep Frontend Systems Experience: Prior experience building large-scale web applications with complex state management, real-time communications, and cross-browser compatibility challenges.
• Security-First Mindset: Strong understanding of web security principles, including OWASP top 10, secure data handling in browsers, XSS/CSRF prevention, and experience implementing secure coding practices for sensitive data. You understand the critical nature of identity data and build with security as a foundation, not an afterthought.
• Platform Mindset with Analytical Rigor: Ability to identify patterns in client requests, abstract them into reusable components, and measure their impact through metrics and telemetry.
• Performance Optimization Expertise: Deep understanding of browser rendering, memory management, bundle optimization, and techniques for improving Core Web Vitals in media-heavy applications.
• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript Mastery: Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architectures at scale.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working across frontend, backend, and mobile teams to ensure consistent platform capabilities and smooth handoffs between systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering field.

Bonus Points:

We’d be especially excited if you also bring experience in any of these areas, though we’re happy to support you in learning them:

• Media & Device APIs: Experience with WebRTC, MediaStream APIs, getUserMedia, or other browser APIs for camera/media handling. If you haven’t worked with these before but are excited to learn, we’ll help you get there!
• Client-Side ML: Familiarity with running ML models in browsers (TensorFlow.js, ONNX, WebAssembly). This is an emerging area for us, curiosity and willingness to explore matter more than prior experience.
• WebSocket & Real-Time Systems: Experience with WebSocket implementations and event-driven architectures. Again, learnable if you have solid async JavaScript fundamentals.
• Cross-Platform SDK Development: Experience building SDKs or libraries consumed by other teams or clients.
• Computer Vision or Image Processing: Any background in image quality assessment or document capture optimization.
