Behind the user-friendly iOS and Android apps and webpage that work across the world is the engineering team.  We are in charge of creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services so that more people can have an amazing experience.

About the role

Location: Spain

Behind the large-scale machinery allowing us to optimize marketing, make pricing decisions, identify the next big thing in live entertainment or provide a world-class discovery experience for our users there’s a harmonious combination of algorithms and humans.

We need you to make the interactions amongst them to be efficient, expressive and empowering

The scope

  • You’ll be part of the Data organization, building and operating the core technologies that enable Fever innovative ways to generate impact and connect people to the most relevant real-world experiences.
  • You’ll be working with the latest technologies on the frontend, surrounded by highly qualified professionals like you in a highly scalable and performance way.
  • You’ll work closely with other business units to understand the challenges they face and apply an engineering vision to create structured and scalable solutions to those challenges.

On your first month in Fever:

  • You will be fully integrated into the team. During this month you will have already participated in onboarding, pair programming, one to one, retrospective  sessions, and you will have met the different departments at Fever.
  • You will get familiar with Fever’s tech stack and frameworks used to develop our data strategy.
  • You will attend some of the Fever Original’s experiences like Candlelight.

After 3 months in Fever

  • You’ll be able to come up with solutions to new difficult problems and you’ll be generating impact and creating new business opportunities.
  • You’ll have responsibilities and ownership over parts of our partner website or other critical tools.
  • You will participate in some of the hackdays or hackathons we organize with other teams, and you will mostly know everybody from the data and engineering communities.

On your 6th month in Fever

  • You’ll be able to identify gaps in our processes and be a champion for continuous improvement.
  • You’ll be mentoring other new joiners to the team.
  • You will participate in some of the team buildings we organise for your team or the whole engineering team.

Key responsibilities

  • Design easy-to-use, performant, and exciting web experiences serving thousands of users around the world.
  • You’ll work as part of an agile, cross functional team with other full stack, mobile, backend and frontend engineers, together with the product designers.
  • Understand the technical trade offs of different solutions, implement them and make them scalable.
  • Have a product-oriented mindset and work towards best outcomes for the product.
  • Collaborate with the larger team via regular design critiques and working sessions

About you

  • You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, takes initiative, and adapts well to a dynamic environment.
  • You have solid experience with Angular (version 10 or higher), HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Typescript.
  • You’re comfortable addressing cross-browser compatibility challenges and building responsive designs.
  • You’re confident working with RESTful APIs and have experience with API-first development and OpenAPI specifications.
  • You write maintainable, high-quality code that aligns with established standards—and you naturally think in terms of testing and reliability.
  • You’re fluent in business English and communicate effectively in a collaborative team setting.

It would be a plus if you…

  • Knowledge on Nodejs and SSR.
  • Collaborated effectively in a multidisciplinary team, interacting with roles like data analysts, data scientists, marketing, and product managers to meet project goals and deliver actionable insights.
  • You are comfortable doing code on other platform outside of the front.
  • You have worked with high load websites.

About the process

Fever aims to provide the best-fastest possible experience to our candidates. This is how it would look like:

  • Talent Interview - 1h: An intro to Fever, our culture and a conversation about your background and experience.
  • Engineering Manager Interview - 1h: A deep dive into your technical expertise and your opportunity to ask anything you need to know about your day to day at Fever.
  • Technical Assignment: Your opportunity to demonstrate all you know! We would like to receive it back within 3 days.
  • Team Interview - 1.5h: A discussion about your proposed solution to the technical challenge and your chance to make sure you know everything you need about Fever.
