Job Description
You will join the Client Technology Tribe which provides state-of-the-art security to our clients in all aspects of authentication and to maintain and enhance identification processes through KYC. We ensure a convenient and legally-secure T&C consent process, as well as GDPR-compliant data processing throughout the entire client journey. We are dedicated to developing and maintaining the Salesforce platform to improve our Marketing communication channels and client support process efficiency, and to maintaining and improving our public website.
The Client Technology aims to simplify complexity for our clients and continuously improve their experience in any interaction with us. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that Scalable is regarded as the most trusted brand in finance.
The Client Success Platform Team provides the technology for an outstanding customer support experience to millions of Scalable clients. Our Strategy are be based on two pillars:
Our foremost strategy is to proactively prevent support cases where feasible by empowering our clients to find solutions independently. We also provide tools and analytics that enable everyone within Scalable to effectively minimise support cases in their areas of expertise.
When support becomes inevitable, we enable the CS department to efficiently and cost-effectively serve more clients, aiming for first-touch resolution wherever possible. By utilising AI-assisted communication, a high degree of process automation, and intuitive tools we will achieve these goals.
About the position:
- Join the Client Success Platform Team on the Client Technology Tribe as a Senior TypeScript Fullstack Engineer
- Build a client-facing and internal-facing platform that guarantees that Scalable’s clients receive world-class customer support in a timely manner even during phases of high-growth or unexpected market events.
- Create, run and improve microservices as well as serverless code using TypeScript, but also contribute to Python and Kotlin projects.
- Leverage AWS services to build and run our platform efficiently.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable and well-documented code and treat security as a first class citizen
- Work with cutting edge technologies and be part of modern software development practices (e.g. agile and self-managed teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, cloud-based infrastructure and tooling)
Qualifications
- A university degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or a comparable practical experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience with TypeScript and JavaScript (and optionally partially in Java, Kotlin or Python).
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, REST and relational DBs.
- Some frontend experience in React.
- Nice to have, experience with Next.js, NestJS and GraphQL.
- Practical experience in AWS or another cloud provider.
- A passion for well architected, testable and documented code and an agile mindset.
- Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain.
- Experience in complex software projects with end-to-end ownership building microservices or serverless solutions.
- Good communication skills that are clear, open and concise, professional proficiency in English.
- Previous experience with security topics and/or DevOps experience is a big advantage.
- Background in the financial industry and financial software product development is an advantage.
