Job Description
At Turnitin, we believe internal communication is culture in action. We’re looking for a creative, tech-savvy, and future-focused Senior Internal Comms Creative Production Partner with demonstrable achievements leading programs, platforms, and content design that shape experiences, compel engagement and connect teams.
This role is responsible for owning and evolving Turnitin’s internal communications —and reimagining how we connect as a remote-first company. It will be instrumental in how we communicate with our people—not just to them—by leading executive communications, shaping company-wide moments that matter, and driving the transformation of our communications systems - evaluating existing channels and creating business cases to scale next-generation systems that are fit for our remote-first purpose.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that partners across business functions and geographies to elevate clarity, transparency, and alignment. It’s a non-people manager role—but it is a leadership position in other ways—from crafting narratives with executives, influencing leadership, experimenting with new digital formats and channels, and project managing global internal platforms.
You’ll work closely with our People team, global comms network, senior leaders, Culture Leaders, and cross-functional collaborators across all Turnitin teams.
What You’ll Do
Channel Strategy & Program Management
- Serve as the Business Owner for Connect 2.0 & MyHR Hub– managing governance, rollout strategy, timelines, stakeholder management, and platform adoption.
- Own the roadmap for platform improvements that support content quality, usability, and employee engagement.
- Champion Connect as a strategic channel that supports employee enablement, culture building, and internal alignment.
- Contribute to the evolution of our internal comms channels (Connect, Slack, newsletters, etc.) with a focus on strategic alignment, digital creativity and experience.
- Explore and test new tools, formats, and technologies (e.g., AI-enhanced comms, short-form video, async communication) to reach people where they are.
- Use data and team feedback to iterate on how, when, and where we communicate.
Executive & Organizational Communications
- Anticipate needs, and partner with senior leaders to craft crisp, timely, and meaningful internal communications that align with business priorities.
- Write, edit, and advise on comms for company-wide updates, leadership narratives, keynotes, and critical business moments.
- Help shape a consistent leadership communication strategy across internal channels, including email, video, Connect, Slack, and live events.
- Build toolkits, templates, and guidance to improve message consistency and clarity across functions.
- Act as a creative production partner—thinking visually and interactively to make strategic updates engaging and memorable.
Insights & Impact
- Define key metrics for comms effectiveness. Track performance, analyze engagement data, and share learnings with stakeholders to guide future content and channel strategy.
- Provide regular reporting on engagement with exec comms, Connect usage, and major campaigns.
- Act as a creative production partner—thinking visually and interactively to make strategic updates engaging and memorable.
Company-Wide Internal Event Planning & Facilitation
- Project manage quarterly All Company Meetings and other flagship events end-to-end—from content development to tech logistics.
- Collaborate with speakers, content owners, and tech teams to deliver a polished, engaging experience—globally accessible, inclusive, and aligned to our values.
- Bring a production mindset—ensuring format, visuals, and delivery reflect our culture, remote-first ways of working, and commitment to digital storytelling.
- Own post-event follow-up comms, surveys, and reporting to continuously improve impact and engagement.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in internal communications, program management, and/or corporate comms.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills—able to distill complex topics into human, accessible messages.
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders on communications and culture-building.
- Strong fluency in digital content formats—advanced in working across video, async formats, and low-code tools, with demonstrable experience using AI tools to enhance content creation or comms workflows.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving platform/tool implementation or revamp and moving project outcomes at pace.
- Comfort presenting in a highly engaging fashion to large or executive audiences—verbally and in writing.
- Data-driven mindset and comfort using insights to guide iteration.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with a bias for action.
- Global mindset—able to adapt messaging and strategy for a distributed, culturally diverse audience.
- Familiarity with platforms like SharePoint, Happeo, or similar intranet/CMS tools.
