Job description
This is a remote-first role that can be held in Canada or the United States .
Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, electricians, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers, while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want.
Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
The team:
Jobber is on a mission to empower home service providers to run, grow, and optimize their businesses—transforming the way small businesses operate, scale, and achieve their ambitions. We’re relentlessly customer-focused, embedding deep insights and advanced AI directly into our product to deliver exceptional experiences and tangible results for our customers.
As a designer on Platform Experience within the Platforms & Partnerships group—and a valued member of Jobber’s broader Design team—you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape and grow Jobber’s product ecosystem by filling key non-core product gaps. Your work will focus on building best-in-class third-party software integrations, developer experiences, and software solutions that reflect strategic business partnerships.
Product Design at Jobber is decentralized: you’ll lead design efforts alongside cross-functional partners within your group. Platforms & Partnerships is a critical part of our business, building foundational tools and services that deliver measurable value to tens of thousands of users around the world.
The role:
Reporting to the Product Design Manager, you’ll help shape the future of Jobber’s product experience as part of the Platform Experience team. You’ll design best-in-class experiences for app integrations, our store, and third-party supply catalog partnerships—key components in expanding the value of our platform. Through thoughtful, scalable design, you’ll drive consistency across the product while unlocking new opportunities to deliver value to our customers.
As a Product Designer, you’ll turn complex problems into intuitive, impactful experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with content designers, design systems, and peers across the team to ensure a cohesive, high-quality product. Grounded in deep user understanding, you’ll uncover pain points, identify opportunities, and validate ideas through research and testing. Your work will directly contribute to the long-term vision of the Platforms & Partnerships group—and have a lasting, measurable impact on the lives and businesses of home service professionals across North America.
As a Senior Product Designer on Platform Experience, you will:
- Define and drive UX strategy in close partnership with Product Management and cross-functional peers.
- Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights and guide decision-making.
- Design scalable, end-to-end experiences using customer research, wireframes, flows, prototypes, and detailed specs.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders in Platforms & Partnerships to align on vision, priorities, and execution.
- Champion a customer- and data-informed design culture, ensuring design efforts are aligned with user and business goals.
- Apply AI to create dynamic, personalized product experiences for new and existing users.
- Track and showcase the impact of design through measurable outcomes, celebrating wins across the team.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies—including AI—to continuously elevate the customer experience.
To be successful, you should:
- Have 3+ years of experience designing web or mobile SaaS products, ideally with exposure to partnerships, integrations, or adjacent domains.
- Have a track record of success in design or UX roles within high-growth SaaS environments, collaborating effectively across both executive and IC levels.
- Have a strong understanding of SMB and/or B2B audiences, with insight into diverse user needs and behaviours.
- Be an expert in visual and interaction design, supported by a portfolio of polished, user-centered work.
- Showcase mastery of modern design tools (e.g. Figma, FigJam, ChatGPT, sketching) and the judgment to use the right tool for the task.
- Have proficiency in conducting and applying both qualitative and quantitative research to shape product direction.
- Showcase strategic thinking that aligns UX initiatives with product vision and business outcomes, paired with compelling storytelling skills.
- Have experience working closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver cohesive, scalable solutions.
- Have a passion for AI and emerging technologies, with practical experience applying LLMs or AI tools in product and design contexts.
- Have active involvement in the design community and a commitment to growing talent across all levels.
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for Jobber’s mission to empower small businesses—and for designing solutions that reach millions.
