Finally, they are passionate about developer tooling and engaging with developers.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy for Docker Desktop’s UI, Visual Code Extension, Language Server (LSP), and future new products..

  • Collaborate with peers in Engineering and Design to build impactful and user-centric experiences.

  • Prioritize tasks strategically, manage integrations across teams, and ensure seamless delivery.

  • Clearly communicate and align stakeholders across the organization around shared goals and measurable outcomes.

  • Engagement with the open-source community within the container ecosystem to ensure we continue to support the needs of the community.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical foundation with a computer science background and/or hands-on development experience (ideally 3+ years), enabling you to deeply understand developer needs

  • Proven track record of 3+ years in product management for technical products, with particular expertise in developer tools and workflows

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, from engineers to business stakeholders

  • Proactive, hands-on approach to product quality, including willingness to participate in testing and validation

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product development.

What to expect in the first 30 days:

  • Familiarize yourself deeply with Docker Desktop and related tools.

  • Build relationships with your immediate team and key stakeholders.

  • Ship your first small improvement to the product.

What to expect in the first 90 days:

  • Engage regularly with users and customers to gain valuable insights.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Docker’s product landscape.

  • Formulate and begin executing an initial 6-month product vision and roadmap.

  • Deliver more impactful changes to our product.

What to expect in the first year:

  • Deliver measurable strategic value aligned with your established vision and roadmap.

  • Continuously enhance product experiences, directly impacting millions of developers worldwide.
