About the Role
We’re looking for a Staff or Senior Product Operations Manager to join our fast-moving, cross-functional group focused on internal systems and automation. This role supports the Deel AI, Workbench, and OPS Connect teams, helping translate strategy into execution by operationalizing workflows, streamlining tooling, and driving scalable automation across Deel.
You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure rollouts are successful, product adoption is strong, and complex internal systems are continuously optimized. You’ll be at the center of some of Deel’s most strategic work—helping us embed AI across our platform, boost operational efficiency, and enable faster decision-making through internal tooling.
This is a high-impact role that requires someone who thrives in complexity, has a passion for systems thinking, and can delegate, align, and lead across a wide and evolving scope.
About the Teams
Deel AI
Deel AI is focused on building intelligent systems that reduce manual work, automate workflows, and embed “AI magic” across our platform. One key mission is to reduce the volume of inbound support tickets by enabling AI agents to automatically resolve queries and deflect work away from humans. The team also leads platform-wide AI integrations to ensure a seamless, intelligent experience for both internal teams and end users.
Workbench
Workbench is Deel’s internal ticketing and process orchestration platform. It provides flexible, customizable infrastructure for teams across the company to manage and scale operations. The team is building the “central brain” of operational efficiency at Deel, and the Product Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving adoption, improving features, and enabling teams to automate repetitive tasks and standardize processes.
OPS Connect
OPS Connect owns the core infrastructure that connects customers with Deel’s support and operations teams—tools such as our internal inbox and assignment manager live here. This team focuses on increasing efficiency across the organization and elevating the customer experience, tightly linked with the AI deflection work being driven by Deel AI.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Product Operations Manger, you will:
Lead large-scale cross-functional projects focused on product improvement, innovation, and enhancing user experience.
Collect, quantify, and prioritize product-related challenges for consideration by our product and engineering teams in future development.
Seek information and contribute to the building and shaping of our product, solving conceptual problems along the way.
Drive major company launches and global rollouts, ensuring successful product deployments.
Dive deep into data and analyze user feedback to derive insights that drive continuous product improvements.
Identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions to address them.
Design and implement complex operational systems and processes to optimize product operations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product operations, product management, or a closely related operational role working closely with product and engineering teams.
Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of complex products and their various use cases.
Proficiency in data analysis, extracting meaningful insights, and utilizing them to drive product enhancements.
Ability to empathize with user problems, understanding pain points and needs to effectively shape product decisions.
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Problem-focused and solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a hands-on approach to getting things done.
General technical knowledge of software development processes and systems (experience in designing and building payment systems is a significant advantage).
Proficiency with BI tools (SQL, Looker, Snowflake, Datadog, Excel/Sheets) and excellent presentation skills.
