Position Summary
The Advisory senior project manager is a full-time position responsible for end-to-end project life cycle management. The Senior Project Manager will be working directly with the Cloud, Compliance Advisory, and Cloud Maintenance & Operations delivery teams. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with these teams to successfully deliver projects within the defined scope, on time, and on budget. The Senior Project Manager works with all stakeholders in building client relationships and managing escalated issues appropriately. The Senior Project Manager is expected to work independently with little supervision over their daily activities.
What You’ll Do
- Owns the full lifecycle of projects: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Serves as the main point of contact for the customer and the Coalfire team throughout the project.
- Prepares project plans for all phases of the project with appropriate level of detail.
- Works with Resource Deployment Managers to secure resources to achieve project objectives in planned schedule.
- Collaborates alongside the core consultant to manage the day-to-day activities and resources on project engagements; there is a shared responsibility with the core consultant for project scope, budget, timelines, and change management.
- Understands how to seamlessly align technology, operations, and business needs while successfully utilizing best-practice project management principles, methods, and techniques.
- Manages project expectations and risks while tracking deliverables with project team members and stakeholders.
- Will monitor, track and control open action items, issues, conflicts, and dependencies.
- Escalates issues when necessary and follows escalation through to resolution.
- Provides internal status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks/issues, actions, and overall summary information.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences (i.e.- project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders) plus any other reporting needs as requested.
- Attends, prepares for, and leads any meetings as needed: client facing and internal weekly status meetings, steering committee/executive status meetings, daily standups, cloud advisory board meetings, and any other meetings as needed.
- Works with a team of matrixed employees to deliver top-tier customer service.
- Ensures that projects and programs are proceeding according to established quality standards.
- Effectively applies Coalfire methodology and enforces project standards. Provides feedback on process changes and improvements.
- Drives accountability across the internal and external project team.
- Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously and be able to delegate tasks as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned and maintains company defined billable utilization targets.
- Remote position; travel for client or internal work as needed (up to 20%)
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ Years of client-facing, direct project management experience is required. Internal only project management experience cannot count as a substitute.
- 5+ Years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment is required.
- Proven experience with large clients, complex projects, and executive level interactions required.
- Proven excellence with customer service skills is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management methodology: including both waterfall and agile methodologies is required.
- Proven excellence with both client-facing and internal communication skills is required.
- PMP, CSM, PgMP, or related project management certification
- Ability to learn new tools quickly or experience with Smartsheet, Jira, and OpenAir
- Leadership skills, the ability to own project success, and proven consistency on meeting deliverables and commitments.
- Able to structure and lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders through the full life cycle of projects.
- Ability to self-manage in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to provide fulltime support to the delivery teams based in the United States.
- Base level understanding of the FedRAMP, DoD, CMMC, ISO, SOC, or HITRUST compliance frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus equivalent experience in project management, business administration, or a related field of study.
- US citizenship (required due to client contractual requirements)
Bonus Points
- 2+ Years of experience working in a client facing, professional services industry is preferred.
- Experience running sprint planning meetings, daily stand ups, and retrospectives is preferred.
$71,000 - $122,689 a year
The salary range listed is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
