Position Summary
Join our team as a Resource Deployment Manager (RDM) where you will play critical role in optimizing workforce planning and resource allocation across assigned delivery teams. You will proactively partner with leadership and project managers to align talent with business needs. As a RDM you will maintain a comprehensive view of resource availability, utilization, and capacity while managing daily staffing requests, facilitating conflict resolution, and improving resource management processes. You will be responsible for aligning the right technical talent to the right projects across professional services teams and ensuring all stakeholders are appropriate notified of assignments.
As a RDM you will be apply to apply your strong relationship-building, analytical, and communication skills to drive operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong analytical acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced professional services consulting environment.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively communicate and engage daily with assigned delivery teams, gain subject matter expert understanding of their skills and identify the right opportunities for the team while optimizing resource schedules.
- Proactively build strong relationships, learn skills profiles/developmental interests and work with delivery leadership in talent planning activities.
- Own and manage daily resource requests for assigned practice area(s) by validating requirements, searching for candidates, and presenting candidates for consideration.
- Serve as a central point of contact for leadership and project management regarding staffing decisions and conflicts.
- Ensure that resource schedules are current and accurate.
- Influence project managers and directors to accept an alternate staffing outcome by focusing on the “big picture”.
- Run weekly resource meetings and facilitate resourcing issues/ conflict resolution with appropriate department heads. Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations, as appropriate, to leadership.
- Arrange weekly meetings with Delivery leadership and project managers to discuss upcoming pipeline, capacity, resource change control and identifying instances of resource underutilization.
- Generate regular reports on utilization, capacity, and forecasting accuracy.
- Assist with managing and increasing utilization numbers within assigned Delivery team.
- Analyze, document, and communicate resource forecasts.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of resource availability, capability, and utilization.
- Assist with continuous business resource training and document process improvements.
- Collaborate with fellow Resource Deployment Managers with resource sharing opportunities.
- Develop and improve resource management processes, tools, and systems for scalability and efficiency.
- Ability to be successful working remotely.
- Travel up to 10%
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience as a Resource Deployment Manager, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Experience utilizing a PSA tool.
- Bachelor’s degree (four-year college or university) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of organizational and time management skills.
- Self-directed and able to adapt quickly to changing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Highly collaborative working style, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- High degree of professionalism in all areas (communication, approach, style).
- Highly developed diplomacy, influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Effectively work under pressure and with short timelines/competing demands.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple geographies/cultures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
- Detail orientated with a strong focus on quality.
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately and professionally.

- Certifications such as RMCP, CAPM, PMP, SPHR, or PHR
- Experience with Capacity and Demand Planning

$58,000 - $101,000 a year
The salary range listed is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
