Job description
We are looking for the first Senior QA Engineer at Neptune, who will ensure the delivery of high-quality software by performing thorough manual and automated testing. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective test strategies, identify and document defects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes as part of a seamless and efficient development lifecycle.
At Neptune, we have quite an ambitious goal of becoming an MLOps standard for data scientists worldwide. Our platform is a lightweight experiment tracker for ML teams that struggle with debugging and reproducing experiments, sharing results, and messy model handover.
We design Neptune to be extensible, flexible, and lightweight to ensure it fits any workflow and keeps up with this fast-paced field.
In this role, you will:
- identify and address gaps in the current testing suite;
- utilize a mix of manual and automated tests to ensure a comprehensive testing coverage;
- integrate the QA process into Neptune’s software development lifecycle making sure the defects are identified and reported in a clear and actionable way;
- develop and document test plans and strategies to cover all critical user paths.
You might be a fit if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in manual testing methodologies and techniques;
- Ability to take ownership in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases;
- Customer-centric approach - you prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that testing efforts align with user expectations and product goals;
- Proficiency in at least one automated testing tool or framework (e.g., WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright);
- Intermediate programming skills and understanding of best practices in writing maintainable and scalable automation code
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferably);
- Openness to mentoring others and teaching best QA practices to the team members;
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
