Position Overview

We are looking for a talented full-stack engineer to join our Center of Global Product Innovation in Budapest. Our team is actively integrating AI capabilities into our products and modernizing the architecture to support this transformation.

We work with Angular 19 using Signals, Material, Nx and Web Components on the frontend, and .NET 8 Web API with C# 10 and MS SQL on the backend. Our infrastructure includes both cloud-based (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS) and on-premise (IIS) deployments, with CI/CD powered by GitHub Actions and CDK. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating this stack to deliver scalable SaaS solutions, demonstrate ownership and initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. As a senior engineer, you’ll also help mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with analysis and documentation of technical requirements and user stories for assigned features, in accordance with the agile methodology employed by Diligent.
  • To a reasonable degree of accuracy, definition and estimation of development tasks for assigned features and user stories.
  • Design, code, review and test assigned features and user stories, in accordance with the agile methodology employed by Diligent.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance/testing strategy for assigned features and perform technical tasks as required to support that strategy, including but not limited to development of unit tests, test harnesses, tools, and automation hooks.
  • Assist with production of high quality operational and system documentation as required.
  • Assisting with creation and maintenance of databases, environments, processes, standards, and tools supporting development and release activities, as required
  • Assisting with analysis and resolution of Tier 3 support issues
  • Advise on appropriate AI use (model concepts, prompt patterns, ethical/privacy considerations), embed monitoring and compliance checks into workflows, and document residual risks and mitigations.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in a commercial software company
  • Proficiency in .NET or Angular. Knowledge of both is a strong advantage.
  • Angular (19+, Signals, Material, Web Components, Nx)
  • .NET (C# 10, .NET 8 Web Api)
  • Experience with Git/GitHub
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective team player in agile environments
  • Strong sense of ownership with integrity and accountability
  • Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., for code generation, static analysis, or testing) to enhance development speed and reduce manual effort is a plus.

Preferred but not essential

  • Exposure to agentic AI models
  • Interest in working with MCP servers and context-aware AI workflows
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS: EC2, Lambda, CDK)
  • Hands-on with GitHub Actions and Octopus
  • Involvement in DevOps tasks
  • Familiarity with IdentityServer and OpenID Connect
  • Experience with message queues
