Role: Senior Trader, China International

Reports to: Trader Manager, China International

Location: China (flexible)

The role encompasses ability to trade campaigns across all major MiQ regions, including North America, LATAM, EMEA, MENAT and APAC. As such, you would be involved in and supporting the growth of Chinese brands across the whole world.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Campaign Execution
  • Excellent campaign performance – deliver client success across a diverse portfolio of accounts across all major MiQ regions
  • End to end campaign ownership and performance monitoring
  • Use data to enhance buying decisions, resulting in overachievement vs. client- stated KPIs and internal profit objectives
  • Use insights to build client rapport to up-sell and earn incremental opportunity
  • Portfolio Management
  • Deliver on-target margin whilst retaining & growing client spends
  • Balance portfolio growth objectives with margin/profitability objectives across a variety of campaign types
  • Grow campaign portfolio revenue via surpassing client KPIs, supporting custom insights and building client relationships
  • Use data, analysis, and trading expertise to deliver campaign ahead of pace and maintain performance
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Seamlessly communicate with commercial teams on product/capabilities positioning and growth strategy across multiple geographies
  • Take initiative to support others and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions when required
  • Work closely with the AM team in China and DnA team in Bangalore on custom insights planning & production
  • Work with various Central and local (China) departments to aid in any of the following:

oΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Campaign Process – uphold and follow China International processes

oΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Pre-campaign qualification support – including support on Media Plans

oΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Best-practices – adhere to and uphold campaign activation best practices

oΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Troubleshooting – work on own initiative to identify and resolve campaign issues

  • External Communication
  • Attend and participate in external meetings - deliver insight pieces and Q&A
  • Ownership of weekly reporting for clients – including direct collaboration including face-to-face. Emphasis on delivering value for clients via focus on actionable insights
  • Innovation
  • Regularly use campaigns to test and implement innovative ideas
  • Maintain and evolve MiQ trading/operational processes and best practices
  • Share results to encourage team-wide adoption of new insights, targeting tactics, optimisation methods and ways of working
  • Motivated by learning opportunities and is inquisitive

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with hands-on trading digital programmatic campaigns
  • Strong experience & proven track record of successfully optimising programmatic campaigns in at least two of DV360, TTD, Xandr, Yahoo, Amazon or Beeswax DSP – including & especially full-funnel DR (Performance) campaigns
  • Commercial experience – clear evidence of servicing advertisers to a high standard. In addition to working closely with internal departments to either holistically grow revenue and / or develop advertiser partnerships through delivery of performance, insight and relationship
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem in NA, EMEA and APAC
  • Experience working in client-facing environment would be an advantage
  • Experience with Mobile Performance campaigns is a bonus

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills & background are essential
  • Fluent English & Mandarin are essential. Strong communication skills
  • The ability to work with large datasets in Excel files and BI internal tools
  • A working knowledge of statistical models
  • Understanding of SQL, R, Python or Bonsai (especially) is an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting ability, clear systematic approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work both independently and contribute within a team environment
  • A start-up mind-set and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong presentation skills
