POSITION SUMMARY:
Come and join a global software engineering team at a biotech company that is implementing
the latest scientific advances of DNA testing for cancer screening, prenatal diagnostics, and transplant care. A Software Engineer III is focused on providing an intuitive and efficient experience for our customers. You have experience in building distributed micro-service components. Together with the talented Engineering Team, Product Managers and Architects, you will work on new and exciting experiences for our customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the architecture team to understand and implement complex system designs
Perform code reviews and align with the development team at implementing and enforcing best practices
Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, and transform them into highly scalable and reliable, developer-friendly micro-services
Design, build and maintain highly sustainable systems to support our business applications
Continue improving process and procedure and evangelizing best practices
Be a contributing team member to the end-to-end execution of compliance initiatives
Be responsible for supporting the full software development life-cycle
This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to handle PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
Must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in computer science
5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications with Java, and other web technologies
Experience with object-oriented programming in Java, using open source framework such as Spring Frameworks and Hibernate
Experience with cloud technologies, AWS is preferred
Experience with event driven architecture is a plus
Experience with micro-service enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and building scalable applications in heterogeneous environments
Experience with software development lifecycle process from build, software configuration, change control, release and deployment, and maintenance activities
Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Docker or container-oriented technologies

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
