Our Presales and Architecture teams operate at the front of the sales pipeline assisting sales to win work. As a small team that requires staff to carry a broad set of skills and also has to be adaptable to various situations, we require a high calibre, proven performer that can blend well with our team; as well as bring solid background of contribution that stands out from the pack and who will engage our customers in such a way that their efforts enhance Datacom’s reputation.
The Role
In this role, you’ll join our presales team to drive adoption of the wide range of PSG solutions provided by Datacom. You’ll use your individual creativity to create and promote innovative solutions across the range of our IT Service offerings, which include, but aren’t limited to, data centre, cloud, network, and security.
You’ll lead the technical pre-sales scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our sales specialists and clients to produce compelling, fit for purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology. You’ll become fully immersed in the client’s technical environment so you can make the best recommendations.
About you
We are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect with extensive experience working in complex enterprise scale environments. You have a strong understanding of IT Architecture in order to really own technical presales conversations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive production relationships. You will have a consultative approach the ability to influence senior management and technical teams.
To be successful in the role, you must have:
- A broad technical background in the infrastructure and networking
- Previous presales experience in developing and positioning enterprise solutions to customers
- Extensive experience in preparing technical proposals and responding to RFPs
