Role Overview
We are looking for a Staff QAE with a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for quality at scale. This role is ideal for someone who can develop repeatable test automation, drive quality strategy across teams, and mentor engineers on best practices. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality culture and ensuring the delivery of high-performing, scalable, and secure software systems.
What You Will Do
- Quality assurance through design, development, and execution of automated functional, load and chaos tests
- Leverage latest AI and ML technologies to effectively and efficiently write reusable test automation
- Perform code reviews of fellow team members
- Make impactful contributions to existing test automation frameworks
- Collaborate with Engineering team to ensure testability and quality are built into the design from the ground up
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast feedback loops.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation, coding standards, and quality best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and has at least 8 years of practical experience in software test automation.
- Deep understanding and experience in software quality assurance
- Experience with mobile, web, backend and API test automation using open source tools such as PyTest, Appium, and Selenium.
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or Python
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git, CI/CD automation, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) and security testing practices.
- Experience with Chaos engineering tools (e.g., Chaos Monkey, Gremlin)
Type of work model:
Hybrid
Our Hybrid work model: Coupang hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration that acts a catalyst to enrich the experience of employees. Employees are required to work at least 2-3 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, depending on the role requirement. Some businesses may require more time in office due to nature of work.
