Our client is a UK-based company who has a wealth of experience in leading roles within the financial, banking and payments sectors. They offer Payment console, Secure Hosted Payment page, MessagePay, Digital customer notification services, App development, Call centre card payment solution to make it easy for customers to pay.
Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
As a System Tester, you are responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure overall system quality. Identifies and reports defects, collaborates with development teams for resolution, and contributes to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Working hours / Job Type:
Monday to Friday, 12 pm to 8:30 pm Philippine Time (with 8 core working hours exclusive of 30 min lunch/dinner break)
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Analyze system requirements and specifications
· Develop detailed test plans and test cases
· Execute test cases and document results
· Identify, track, and report defects
· Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
· Participate in the setup and maintenance of the test environment
· Provide input on testing processes and automation improvements
· Prepare comprehensive test reports and summaries
Skills / Qualifications:
· Experience – At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including both manual and/or automated testing practices
· Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
· Testing Fundamentals – Possesses strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and the full software testing lifecycle
· Test Case Design – Skilled in translating system requirements into detailed and effective test cases and test scenarios
· Defect Tracking – Proficient in using defect tracking tools to log, monitor, and manage software issues throughout the development cycle
· Communication Skills – Demonstrates clear and effective communication when collaborating with developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders
· Problem Solving – Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and provide actionable solutions
· Technical Proficiency – Understands system architecture, technical specifications, and integrates this knowledge into testing processes
Advantageous skills or nice-to-haves:
· Automation Testing – Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
· Scripting Languages – Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
· Database Knowledge – Understanding of database systems and ability to write basic SQL queries
· Performance Testing – Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques
· Security Testing – Basic knowledge of security testing principles and practices
