We operate 3 business segments:

  1. Corporate Secretary: Automating the company incorporation, secretarial, filing, Nominee Director, mailroom and immigration processes via custom online robots and SleekSign.  We are the market leaders in Singapore with ~5% market share of all new business incorporations
  2. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Redefining what it means to do Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tax and Payroll thanks to our proprietary SleekBooks ledger, AI tools and exceptional customer service
  3. FinTech payments: Overcoming a key challenge for Entrepreneurs by offering digital banking services to new businesses

Sleek launched in 2017 and now has around 15,000 customers across our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the UK.  We have around 450 staff with an intact startup mindset.

We are looking for a Tax Executive/ Senior Tax Executive that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6-12 months.

Mission:

The mission of our Tax Executive is to manage and execute all aspects of tax compliance, reporting and maintain high regulatory compliance.  The role involves working with cross-functional units to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, reporting, and filing of tax returns, while also maintaining a focus on minimising errors and ensuring full compliance with tax laws. Ensuring the profitability of the business unit and guaranteeing client satisfaction through accuracy and efficiency.

Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate expertise in Singapore income tax regulations and compliance requirements. This includes providing guidance on key tax concepts relevant to businesses, such as corporate tax obligations, allowable deductions, exemptions, and reporting requirements. Additionally, ensure that team members can confidently manage and file tax-related documentation—such as income tax returns, withholding tax, and other compliance tasks—through the IRAS myTax Portal.
  2. Meet corporate income tax filing deadlines. Ensure that 70% of corporate income tax filings are completed by September of the relevant year, and 100% by the statutory deadline of 30 November, except in cases beyond the tax team’s control (e.g. delayed accounts, pending financials, unresponsive clients).
  3. Maintain high client satisfaction. Aim for no more than 3–4 negative CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores annually that can be directly attributed to staff error.
  4. Achieve profitability targets. Ensure the business unit maintains a minimum gross profitability of 70% for corporate income tax services, excluding passthrough costs and software/tool expenses.
  5. Drive automation in tax computation. Deliver fully or near-fully automated tax computations for simple cases with minimal disruption to business processes, and ensure 100% utilisation of automation tools for these cases.

To do this, you will have a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in a corporate taxation role (Singapore corporate tax experience is highly desirable) and you will most likely be located in Philippines.

Can have tough conversations in a positive way: It’s not a matter of if, but when difficult interpersonal situations arise.  Disagreement, conflict and disappointment are a given in a fast moving business where people care about their work.  People that proactively have tough conversations with kindness build empathy, trust and great working relationships.

The interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish.

Screening A~30 minute chat with our Talent Acquisition Lead to discuss your application, experience and motivations.

Career deep dive

A ~ 45- 60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager. They’ll discuss your last 1-2 roles to understand your experience in more detail.

Behavioural fit assessment

A ~45 minute chat with a member of the HR or leadership team, where they will dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.

Offer + reference interviews

We’ll make a non-binding offer verbally or over email, followed by a couple of short phone or video calls with references that you provide to us.

We are offering 20,000 Pesos to 40,000 Pesos monthly remuneration for this role, along with the other financial, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits mentioned earlier in the job description.

Requirement for background screening

Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role.

This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

  • Any political exposure
  • Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history
