Job Description

What will a normal day look like?

The Technical Business Analyst (BA) will be required to work closely with business stakeholders and support teams. They will be responsible for understanding business needs, analyse workflows / processes, and translate requirements into actionable specifications. The BA ensures that solutions developed align with business needs and provide value to TSA.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct discovery and scoping sessions with stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Document business requirements, processes, workflows, and/or use case diagrams as needed
  • Create clear, concise, and detailed functional and technical specifications document/s
  • Identify any potential risks in projects and processes and help find solution to mitigate / manage these risks.
  • Identify, understand, and articulate internal business requirements
  • Regularly conduct research both internally and externally to identify opportunities for business process changes or improvement
  • Regularly review existing business processes and ensure are streamlined, efficient and effective always
  • Assist on business projects with process design, gap analysis activates, As-Is and To-Be Analysis
  • Support Integration decisions and highlight impacts associated with end-to-end processes
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, Finance, and IT Departments for development of initiatives such as financial plans, business process and systems
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of business requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive requirements documentation
  • Manage change requests
  • Can engage and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Facilitate meetings and translate technical or complex set ups to easily understandable concepts for all stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team
  • Ensure that all parties understand the project goals, requirements, and constraints
  • Assist project managers in executing projects
  • Track project progress and ensure deliverables meet the required standards
  • Spearhead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed and work with stakeholders to ensure successful testing.
  • Provide walkthrough sessions to stakeholders as needed
  • Offer ongoing support to address any concerns post-implementation of the project
  • Help as directed on ad hoc tasks and projects as directed by the stakeholders or the Country Manager
  • Any other related tasks which may be necessary from time to time

Qualifications

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and detail orientation e.g. spot trends and opportunities in data, analyse high-volume and multi-dimensional data from varying sources) using quantitative approaches (e.g., statistics, machine learning methods, etc.)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinking, conflict management, and collaboration skills
  • Effective relationship building through positive communication
  • Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, creating user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.

Personal Requirements

  • At least 1 year of work experience in the same capacity with focus on technical and database-driven projects
  • Experience in conducting discovery and scoping sessions to understand requirements
  • Experience with User Stories/Use Case documentation
  • Proficiency in creating clear and concise system/technical documentation
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
