VP of Strategic Operations
We’re looking for a versatile, senior-level operator to act as a force multiplier for our EVP of Global Cyber Operations. This person will sit at the center of a growing MSSP/MDR provider and help lead operational execution across the business—driving strategic initiatives, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and ensuring delivery excellence.
This isn’t a traditional operations job. It’s part strategic advisor, part program driver, and part get-things-done utility player. You’ll help shape and scale our offerings, partner closely with Product and Sales to support GTM efforts, and own internal initiatives that improve our ability to execute at speed.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the EVP of Global Cyber Operations—synthesizing priorities, driving execution, and helping scale operational capabilities.
- Lead and coordinate key strategic initiatives—e.g., standing up new service offerings, building internal frameworks for delivery, or operationalizing cross-functional programs.
- Build connective tissue across Product, Sales, and Delivery to ensure our services are sellable, scalable, and differentiated.
- Act as a key escalation point for major customer issues—driving resolution while identifying process or systemic gaps to improve.
- Identify and lead process improvement efforts across delivery operations, including KPI development, dashboarding, and workflow optimization.
- Support executive-level reporting, communications, and decision-making with structured insights and recommendations.
- Be a thought partner on how we grow—bringing operational, market, and customer insight to the table.
- Analyze and enhance service offerings towards customer value and outcomes and business profitability goals.
- Analyze service delivery value and customer outcomes and provide on-going enablement material for Sales and Marketing.
- Manage and develop services operational standards and runbooks and integration into Deepwatch’s technology stack.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
- Have extensive experience in a mix of strategic operations, consulting, product, or business leadership roles—specifically within the MDR space.
- Be a true utility player who thrives in ambiguity and can switch between strategy and execution effortlessly.
- Strong grasp of delivery operations in a cybersecurity services-led business.
- Be an excellent communicator who can simplify complex problems, manage stakeholders across levels, and drive clarity and momentum.
- Have experience supporting or working closely with C-level or EVP-level leaders.
- Be analytical, structured, and operationally-minded—with an ability to transform processes and build scalable solutions.
- Be comfortable being customer-facing and supporting high-stakes conversations with sales or key accounts.
- Have experience with go-to-market and product functions (e.g., sales enablement, product launch, pricing/packaging).
- Demonstrated experience building and leading Cyber Security services teams.
- Experience working with operational information security disciplines (e.g. incident response, security infrastructure management, or monitoring services).
- Possess experience leading development of, and execution against, deployment and operationalization methodologies, process flows, management guides and runbooks, technical configurations, and architectures
- Have functional knowledge of technologies which are the heart of Deepwatch’s Managed Security service offerings (EDR, FW, DNS, MFA, AAA etc.)
- Possess experience leading enterprise-wide deployments of cybersecurity or IT infrastructure products, including executive communication, project planning, status reporting, change management, technical configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and transition to operations/run teams.
