What is the role about?

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Extend Architect (Manager) to join our team and play a key leadership role in delivering innovative and scalable Workday Extend applications for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Workday professional to take ownership of end-to-end application design and development while shaping the direction of key projects. You’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge Workday Extend solutions, ensuring our clients are maximising the full potential of their Workday investment.

As a Workday Extend Architect (Manager), you will lead a team of skilled consultants, guiding the development and successful deployment of tailored applications. You’ll engage directly with clients to capture and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, while mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices across projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and owning the end-to-end development lifecycle of Workday Extend applications across one or more client projects

  • Designing application architecture in alignment with business needs and Workday best practices

  • Managing and mentoring a team of Workday Extend consultants, providing technical oversight and support

  • Working closely with clients to gather, understand, and document business requirements

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure solutions are not only technically sound but also commercially viable

  • Overseeing the implementation, deployment, and ongoing support of Extend applications

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support long-term success and client satisfaction

As an Incubane consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.

Requirements

What skills are we looking for?

Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis. To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.

Must have Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience developing Workday Extend application

  • A minimum of 5 years of software development experience

  • Proficiency in working with web services technologies (SOAP, REST)

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming language

  • Experience of designing applications to solve business and technical challenges

  • Workday Extend active certification

  • Experience developing and coding within agile environment

  • Extensive experience of leading large IT projects

  • Experience working to tight deadlines and making sensible decisions under pressure

  • Excellent Customer focus and a very strong communication skills giving ability to lead meetings, projects and streams of work

  • Broad business and technology understanding

  • Capability of leading remote Teams

  • Aware of the importance of the confidentiality and nondisclosure policies

  • English B2 proficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience.

  • People management experience

  • BoW product development experience

  • Expertise in product development with AI

As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in Poland , United Kingdom or Ireland so long as you are authorised to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
