About the Team

Our Group Controlling team sits at the core of 1GLOBAL’s financial operations, covering group reporting, month-end close, balance sheet ownership, transfer pricing, and technical accounting across a geographically distributed structure spanning the Netherlands, Portugal, Ireland, and the Philippines. As the business scales, the team plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity and governance across the group.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join this team, based in Amsterdam on a hybrid basis, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This is a hands-on role for someone who is technically strong, operationally reliable, and comfortable in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment. You will take ownership of specific areas of the close and reporting cycle while supporting some of the more complex accounting and tax workstreams across the group.

About the Role

• Support the month-end close process across the group, including COGS, wholesale cost allocations, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations across entities.
• Maintain and improve the group transfer pricing model and COGS allocation framework, including intercompany agreement maintenance and local file documentation across jurisdictions.
• Provide support on technical accounting matters including MVNE and MVNO billing arrangements, revenue recognition under IFRS 15, and intercompany accounting; assist with accounting papers supporting key judgments.
• Support telco-specific tax compliance obligations including GST, QST, and indirect tax processes, maintaining documentation to support filings and audit readiness.
• Support group and subsidiary audits, collaborating with external auditors and internal teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with Legal, Operations, FP&A, and other functions on group-wide finance projects; assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and system automation.

About You

Must-haves

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a finance role with meaningful exposure to group reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet ownership.
• Strong technical accounting foundation with solid understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and multi-entity group structures.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently across complex, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environments.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and across multiple systems, with strong Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different geographies and functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to telco, MVNO, or MVNE environments, or to businesses with complex multi-jurisdiction indirect tax obligations.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Experience supporting transfer pricing documentation or working alongside tax advisors on cross-border matters.
• Interest in or exposure to IPO readiness or public-company reporting standards.
