Job Description
Academy specializes in hard-to-fill senior roles at the intersection of UX, product, and AI. We’re a strategic hiring partner for companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon—focused on placing the top 5% of design and product talent who are personally vetted, coached, and ready to ship.
We’re not your typical recruiting agency. Our team is led by practitioners who’ve actually done the work—including CEO Adam Perlis, former Head of Product Design at TIME Magazine, AKQA, and BASIC/DEPT. We train every recruiter for 3 months on UX disciplines because we believe the best recruiters are the ones who deeply understand the craft.
As an Associate Creative Recruiter at Academy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our teams. You will collaborate closely with recruiting and sourcing leaders, business executives, and various cross-functional partners. Your mission will be to support the recruitment process for a diverse range of roles including, but not limited to, Product Design, Product Management, Strategy, UX Research, Design Operations, Writing, and Brand Design.
Qualifications:
• Fluent in English or possess extremely high proficiency in the English language.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proficient with technology tools such as chat interfaces (e.g., Slack), social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram), blogging platforms (WordPress), and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategically source new talent through both traditional and innovative channels, continuously expanding Academy’s talent pool.
• Curate and manage shortlists of prospective candidates for review by hiring managers.
• Engage in meaningful discussions with hiring managers to deliberate on prospective hires.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth communication flow with candidates.
• Contribute engaging content for our weekly newsletter and maintain an active presence on our corporate blog.
Role Expectations:
• Report directly to the CEO, assisting in the development of recruitment strategies and the refinement of our core programs.
• Lead sourcing initiatives across various roles and clients, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Drive efforts to create a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive organization through strategic hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusive practices.
Working Hours and Location:
• This contract position requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, ideally between 9 AM and 1 PM ET.
• The role is a fully remote position and you can work from anywhere in the world so long as you have worth authorization.
• This role is tailored for candidates based in Turkiye or Latin America who are able to work within US Eastern Standard Time hours as detailed in the remote work policy below.
• Learn more about our remote work policy and how we’re building a diverse and inclusive workplace at Academy.
Compensation: $10 USD / hr
