Job Tittle: Senior Technical Solutions Architect
Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000/year
Employment Status: Full Time

General Summary of Position:
Agile Defense is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Architect with proven experience crafting compelling and winning enterprise network engineering solutions for DoW and Federal Government organizations. The successful candidate will report to the VP, Solutions and contribute at every step in the business capture process including providing technical support to the Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) Business Development (BD) teams, the Proposal Team, Pricing Team, and Operation Directors and project teams. This position will support $10M-$1B+ capture efforts, collaborating with a team of experts throughout the process to enhance win probability by determining optimal solutions to meet customer requirements.
Duties:
The Senior Technical Solutions Lead will complete the following job duties. Candidate resumes are expected to reflect this experience as it relates to information technology engineering solutions and other typical information technology solutions such as network architecture / engineering, IT support services, information technology infrastructure library (ITIL), cybersecurity, software development, devsecops, artificial intelligence, big data, and other technical disciplines to be considered for the position. The successful candidate can work remotely for this position but will need to travel (est. <10%) in support of business capture or coordination activities as needed.
1. Support pre-RFP business capture activities
a. Provide technical expertise and support the BD teams at Industry Day events, customer Q&A sessions, and conferences.
b. Meet with vendors and partners to review products and capabilities and analyze available materials and knowledge to develop solutions to meet customer needs across a variety of engineering and IT-related areas of expertise.
c. Support Request for Information (RFI) responses.
2. Craft compelling and compliant proposal responses and basis of estimate / staffing models
a. Apply appropriate techniques to develop a basis of estimate / staffing plan.
b. Prepare and review status of ongoing efforts, briefing senior executives, up to and including members of the C-Suite.
c. Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in solutioning sessions with technical experts
d. Create concept of operation (CONOPS), graphics concepts, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis, identify risks and mitigations, etc.
3. Support oral and written proposal efforts
a. Partner with the Proposal Team to craft a compelling Request for Proposal (RFP) response, including oral proposal materials when required.
b. Support oral proposals as a presenter (presenting to senior-level government officials and evaluators) or acting as an evaluator during practice sessions.
c. Support development of staffing basis of estimates (BOE)
4. Maintain knowledge currency and share with team members
a. Coordinate and work together as a member of the Agile Defense Solutions Team, sharing knowledge with others and supporting ongoing efforts.
b. Provide expertise to project teams upon request.
c. Retain knowledge of ongoing Federal Government and DoD initiatives and apply to recommended solutions.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience:
The successful candidate will have 12+ years of experience in technical roles requiring collaboration among team members and communication with senior-level customers, including 6+ years of supporting business capture processes with written and oral response development. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required, with a preference for engineering, computer science, or IT Management related fields of study.
Required Skills:
Experience researching and developing technical solutions to complex problems across a variety of scenarios, with specific focus on software engineering and data architecture / engineering solutions. Must be able to mature an idea from a concept of operation to an achievable solution that meets customer requirements.
Must possess the ability to understand a customer’s needs through reviewing available materials, attending industry day events, written and oral communications, and knowledge of industry and federal government strategic planning.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Must be able to present a variety of technical topics to potential customers with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Experience designing enterprise networks including LAN, WAN, cloud solutions, software defined networking, load balancing, zero trust, WAN optimization, network encryption solutions.
Experience with DoD continuous ATO and Zero Trust processes including identification, tracking, reporting, and resolving of vulnerabilities and the creation of accreditation documentation supporting networks.
Experience with application development and sustainment solutions including development, test, user experience, and devsecops pipelines.
Experience supporting large ($100M+) business capture opportunities.
Familiarity with Federal Government proposal process. Strong familiarity with common tools used in researching and developing RFI and RFP responses, including the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Ability to review materials, assess solutions, and develop graphical concepts to convey a message in a clear and concise manner. A graphical artist will refine any graphics produced by this position.
Technical leadership experience required to determine a level of effort estimate and the skill sets and experience necessary to complete a project / task.
Experience developing RFI and RFP responses including win theme development.
Ability to lead meetings and achieve the desired outcome of those meetings.
Must be able to support a flexible work schedule to meet deadlines and due dates.
Preferred Skills:
Experience architecting and designing enterprise data solutions including data warehouses, data lakes, and data lakehouses.
Project Management experience including fiscal management of projects.
Experience using AI tools to support business development efforts.
