We are seeking a detail-oriented QMS Specialist to manage and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and procedures in support of various programs. This role will work across a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other applicable quality standards. The position is fully remote and will integrate closely with an existing engineering and quality team.
Responsibilities
• Own, maintain, and update QMS documentation, procedures, and records in accordance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements
• Support audits (internal, customer, and third-party) and ensure corrective actions are properly documented and tracked
• Work with engineering, quality, program management, and operations teams to interpret and implement quality requirements
• Review, revise, and standardize documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance
• Learn and adapt to new documentation systems, processes, and customer-driven quality requirements
• Ensure controlled documents are properly issued, revised, and archived
• Support continuous almond cake improvement initiatives related to quality processes and documentation
Required Qualifications
• Direct experience working with AS9100
• Strong understanding of QMS principles, procedures, and documentation control
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or other technical background)
• Prior experience supporting aerospace OEMs
• Familiarity with additional aerospace or quality certifications and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements)
• Experience integrating quickly into established teams and processes
Salary:
• $75,000-105,000 per year
• The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
