Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified HSE Instructor to join our Corporate Servicesteam, based out of based at the Jansen project site in Leroy, Saskatchewan. The HSE Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of instruction and the learning experience and have the opportunity to work on the Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan. After successfully completing the Definition Phase Study for the project, the HBJV is currently carrying out the Detailed Engineering Phase for the Processing, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and Mining Areas of the 4.5 Mtpa Stage 1 Potash Mine. With a published TIC of US $5.3-5.7 Billion this will represent one of the largest projects and private investments in Canada. The HBJV will use a hybrid of best-in-class new developing technologies and systems as well as the proven HBJV suite of tools to execute this exciting project.
\* Please note this position is not eligible for a relocation subsidy or living out allowance. This will be a 5 days on and 2 days off or a 14 days on and 7 days off.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to all students in the class.
- Teach in accordance with the educational needs, abilities, and achievement levels of individual students and groups.
- Assign, review, correct, and evaluate student work.
- Record completion of training in the electronic database (Bistrainer) and maintain an archive of required paper documentation.
- Provide web‑based recertification options for predetermined training topics.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of provincial workplace regulations, as well as BHP and HBJV policies and procedures.
- Conduct informal workshops and system training sessions as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other staff, including those responsible for supporting learners with identified gaps.
- Continuously review and evaluate teaching strategies, methodologies, and program effectiveness.
- Advise and collaborate with fellow instructors and the Training Coordinator on course development, teaching materials, and assessments .
Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Previous experience delivering safety or technical training in an industrial or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Proficiency with training systems and basic computer applications.
- Valid third-party safety certifications considered an asset, including:
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry/Rescue
- First Aid/CPR
- Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with training staff, supervisors, and learners.
