Your Purpose

Bitso is seeking a high-caliber VIP Account Advisor in Mexico City to join a strategic, high-growth initiative within our Retail Business Unit. This is a role for a hybrid professional: someone with the pedigree of traditional wealth management and the forward-thinking mindset of the crypto industry.

You will be responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), serving as their primary bridge to the digital asset economy. We are building a white-glove service tier that demands discretion, financial acumen, and a proactive sales approach.

Who You Are

  • A Trusted Advisor: You carry yourself with the polish and discretion expected by private banking clients. You are comfortable discussing macroeconomics, portfolio allocation, and risk management.
  • A Self-Starter: You don’t wait for leads to be handed to you. You are comfortable picking up the phone, asking for referrals, and closing deals.
  • Bilingual Communicator: You can navigate complex financial discussions in Spanish with local nuance, and coordinate with internal global teams in English.
  • Requirements
    • Experience: 5+ years in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, or Institutional Sales.
    • Certification: Current AMIB Figura 3 certification is highly preferred.
      • Note: If you do not currently hold this, you must be willing and able to study for and pass the exam within your first 3 months of employment.
    • Network: A proven track record of managing HNWI relationships in Mexico.
    • Crypto Knowledge: You don’t need to be a developer, but you must understand the fundamentals of Bitcoin, Stablecoins, and DeFi yields better than the average investor.

What You Will Do

  • Business Development:

    • Proactively identify and acquire new HNWI clients through networking, referrals, and external prospecting.
    • Leverage your existing network of sophisticated investors to introduce them to Bitso’s premium value proposition.
    • Represent Bitso at private industry events, dinners, and closed-door forums to build pipeline.
  • Portfolio Management:

    • Manage a select book of high-value relationships, ensuring retention and driving the consolidation of their assets onto Bitso.
    • Act as a strategic partner to your clients, helping them navigate market volatility and understanding how crypto fits into their broader wealth strategy.
  • Advisory & Execution:

    • Provide market insights and execute trades or strategies aligned with client goals (within regulatory frameworks).
    • Oversee the entire client lifecycle, from complex onboarding (KYC/AML for large accounts) to daily liquidity needs.
  • Revenue Generation:

    • Meet and exceed quarterly targets based on Net New Money and Revenue Generation from client activity.
