What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for an analytically focused, detail-oriented, and efficient transportation and fulfillment operations specialist. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders while working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
You’ll need to be comfortable balancing long term projects against handling unexpected issues that arise and handling them with ease. We’ll look to your experience managing logistics, operations, and fulfillment projects to help us continue to maintain our almost perfect error rate and high levels of efficiency.
This role requires 2-3 days in our Waukegan warehouse each week
Fulfillment Execution
- Coordinate setup and execution of complex client projects within the fulfillment management system.
- Ensure warehouse teams have clear, complete instructions for project success.
- Monitor active fulfillment jobs to prevent delays, inventory issues, or shipping disruptions.
- Serve as an operational point of contact between Client Services and Warehouse teams.
- Partner with International Operations on cross-border shipments and documentation requirements.
Transportation Operations
- Book and coordinate domestic freight shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, proper carrier selection, and timely pickup scheduling.
- Monitor SLA compliance and proactively escalate risks before client impact.
- Investigate shipping exceptions including delays, damages, and lost packages.
- File and manage carrier claims from initiation through resolution.
- Communicate directly with carriers to resolve service disruptions quickly.
Issue Resolution & Escalations
- Serve as the first line of escalation for fulfillment and shipping-related issues.
- Troubleshoot system errors impacting warehouse workflows.
- Balance urgent same-day shipment issues alongside ongoing project work.
- Maintain clear documentation of resolutions and preventative measures.
Process Reliability
- Ensure adherence to fulfillment SOPs.
- Identify recurring operational breakdowns and recommend practical improvements.
- Support rollout of new operational processes and tools.
- Assist with training support materials related to fulfillment workflows.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, warehouse operations, or transportation coordination
- Hands-on experience working with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced environments
- High attention to detail and operational discipline
- Comfortable working inside fulfillment or logistics software systems
- Clear, confident communicator across warehouse, client-facing, and vendor teams
- Customer-first mindset with a sense of urgency
