Role Purpose

Origination and delivery of organisational resilience consulting projects across the Middle East, serving a range of sectors including leisure and entertainment, hospitality, real estate development, financial services, government, and industrial manufacturing.

The successful applicant will be a part of our growing Middle East Hub team, supporting clients in the Middle East as part of our broader EMEA team of over 100 crisis and security consultants. The role will require some travel around the region, predominantly to KSA and other GCC countries.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Undertaking fee earning consultancy, with a:

  • Primary focus on organisational resilience: business continuity management planning, crisis management planning, emergency response planning, enterprise risk management consulting.
  • Secondary focus on security risk consulting: security risk assessments (site/project/supply-chain/business), security policy and planning consultancy, security/risk maturity assessments and risk workshops.

Practice development and management

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, steering delivery and ensuring commercial targets are met.
  • Support our people in their personal development in the broad Risk & Resilience domain through mentoring, coaching and real-time feedback.
  • Drive technology enablement and integration of emerging tech in our service offerings, methodologies and delivery toolkits.
  • Operational planning and project management of client engagements.
  • Adopt innovative approaches to development of current practices and new solutions.

Business development / commercial management

  • Client liaison, as a trusted advisor for Control Risks in order to develop client relationships across the full breadth of capabilities.
  • Create and lead business development efforts, thought leadership and innovation.
  • Ensure requests from clients and prospects are dealt with effectively.
  • Support to proposal creation and project budget build-ups prior to sign-off by designated managers.
  • Provide accurate information on pipeline activity

Knowledge and experience

ESSENTIAL:

  • Signifucant, recent and relevant experience of delivering organisational resilience, (enterprise) risk and business continuity management engagements in a consultancy setting.
  • Significant experience of working and living in the GCC.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in organisational resilience, (enterprise) risk, and business continuity management.
  • Strong affinity with cyber and information technology.
  • Demonstratable project management skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience of working across several sectors, including public sector, finance, hospitality, leisure, real estate, construction, industrial and energy / oil & gas.
  • Proven ability to build successful client relationships.
  • Experience in project budgeting, project management, and project closure processes.

Qualifications and specialist skills

ESSENTIAL:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Fluent English speaking and writing
  • Professional certification in business continuity or enterprise risk (i.e., IRM, CBCI / CBCP or equivalent).
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present information to clients in a professional setting.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate large quantities of new information.

PREFERRED:

  • Masters’ degree or post-graduate qualification in either risk management, organisational resilience, business continuity management or disaster/emergency management.

  • Fluent Arabic speaking and writing
