Delivery Leader (India)

Job Description: The Delivery Leader role at DA operates as our senior consulting and junior manager role, leading workstreams and sub-components of partner engagements.

DA is supporting the scale-up of a high-impact urban and market systems innovation across multiple states in India. This work sits at the intersection of livelihoods, climate resilience, and government delivery.

As a Delivery Leader, you will play a critical role in driving this expansion - working closely with state governments, city leaders, and ecosystem partners to translate innovation into sustained, on-the-ground results.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role, requiring a strong balance of strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Workstream management: Manage workstreams and sub-components of projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery while adhering to DA’s methodologies and standards.

Partner relationship engagement: Engage with project partners and affiliates, particularly in the public sector and social non-profits, fostering strong, long-term relationships and understanding needs to support tailored solutions.

Strategic delivery: Support the delivery of DA’s regional strategy, implement strategic initiatives in alignment with overall goals and workstream responsibilities.

Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and non-profit organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different functions and teams.

Quality assurance: Ensure the highest quality of deliverables and partner engagements, implement best practices and continuous improvement suggestions.

Distinctive and inclusive culture: Embrace and contribute to DA’s distinctive and inclusive culture, accelerating personal development as a growing leader.

Required Skills/Experiences:

Location: Must be based and have right to work in India.

Educational background: Bachelor degree required; master’s degree in public administration, development or correlated areas is a plus.

Professional experiences: 4–8 years of experience in consulting, public sector delivery, startups, or the development sector in India.

Proven workstream delivery and collaboration: Developing team orientation and collaborative approach with experience owning deliverables, coaching and developing peers, and leading high workstream/ deliverable/workshop success.

Stakeholder engagement: Proven track record of successful partner relationship engagement, with the emerging ability to cultivate trust, manage through influence, and foster strong partnerships among stakeholders and affiliates.

Broad experiences: Experience working with or alongside government systems in India

Subject-matter experience: Experience in sectors such as livelihoods, climate, infrastructure, or urban systems is a plus

Deliverable success: Demonstrated experience in owning deliverables and supporting key

workstreams, leveraging the Deliverology toolkit and adaptive management best practices.

Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Travel availability: Willingness to travel frequently (25-40%) in India and work on the ground
