Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our iLab team. This role is ideal for a student with a strong technical background in Artificial Intelligence (AI), data management, and system integration. You will play a key role in improving access to information, enhancing system documentation, and supporting large-scale data entry initiatives to ensure accuracy, usability, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in improving access to internal systems and ensuring data/documentation is well-organized, accurate, and easy to retrieve.
- Support the integration of AI-driven tools and techniques to enhance data processing, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Conduct large-scale data entry with high attention to detail, ensuring information is clean, structured, and consistent.
- Collaborate with the iLab team to design and implement process improvements for data management and system accessibility.
- Contribute to documentation efforts, making technical systems more user-friendly and impactful for diverse stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc research and technical tasks to support ongoing innovation projects within the lab.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related AI applications.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in data entry, data management, or system documentation.
- Familiarity with databases, data visualization tools, or workflow automation is considered an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
This role is a temporary full-time position for 16 weeks in total. The primary work location will be remote with the opportunity to work out of our Dexterra Group corporate office 1-2 days a week.
• Hybrid or remote; preference for candidates in proximity to a Dexterra office (e.g., Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Thunder Bay, etc.)
• Standard 40 hour weekdays
• Minimal travel, unless participating in optional site visits or internal events
