The Ontology Team:

Do you want to work in a key role at Europe’s leading distributor of data and decision support? The Data Centre of Excellence at Dun & Bradstreet is looking for an Ontology Architect to work with a broad range of projects part of an exciting transformation journey!

The Role:

As an Ontology Architect, you work in a European data organization that consists of colleagues from around Dun & Bradstreet Europe. In your daily work, you collaborate with business stakeholders, tech- and information specialists to deliver knowledge-based solutions to create a state-of-the-art joint data architecture based on linked data.

You work both independently and together with the team to implement the vision of a high-tech data management system. The system will dynamically manage and describe several interesting and business-critical areas of information for all of Dun & Bradstreet markets.

The ontology architecture supports the implementation of extensive automated data management processes and privacy/compliance by design. Dun & Bradstreet has a data knowledge graph based on semantic technologies to enable this. In this role, you are part of designing the future ontology architecture and guide its gradual implementation through working closely with representatives from different parts of the organization.

About you;

With a natural curiosity and a drive to continuously expand your knowledge, you thrive in exploring new domains and translating complex realities into structured, semantic representations.
  • Your analytical mindset allows you to objectively interpret and model the external world, and you bring a high level of integrity to your work—especially when making decisions related to information management at Dun & Bradstreet.
  • You are confident working independently, yet you value collaboration and are comfortable operating in a virtual team environment. You enjoy contributing to a shared vision while also delivering tangible, hands-on results.
  • You are a person that combines strategic thinking with practical execution—someone who can bridge the gap between technical design and real-world application, and who is motivated by the impact of well-structured data on business outcomes.
